    What am I?
I am not rare but still not all that common in the market. I am born live and not from an egg in the Summer and to avoid predators I use a trick that a well known mammal uses. I am an insectivore and easily handled and easy to care for. What am I?

    You are correct.

They got the name armadillo lizard because they roll up into a ball and grab their tail in their mouth and puff up the spiny hard plates on their body to avoid being eaten by predators.

Cool little lizards that are easy to care for.

don't they sometimes also roll down slopes while in this ball to evade the predator?

Are their requirements similar to leopard geckos?

Somewhat except you need to provide full spectrum lighting for these where you wouldn't with a leopard gecko.

95 hot spot and 80 on the cool side. The diet is the same as a leo.

@ SPJ - Looks like I'll be needing a heat bulb and a new flourescent bulb, lol. I don't know, though. His cool side's been fine at room temperature for about four years, the amount of time I've had him. Oh, and about humidity, does he need any? Will a humid hide suffice?
