    New Sterilite Drawer Cart Model
I picked this up from Target the other day thinking it could make an affordable little rack system. Unlike other Drawer Cart models, each tub has its own snap tight lid.

I was thinking about trying out some 11" flexwatt down the back and see how that goes.

    Gook luck pal :gj:

You could improve the effectiveness of the tape if you cover the sides and back with insulated foam board.

Yeah, I was thinking to at least cover the back. Still have to order some flexwatt... you should hook me up with a good link where I can buy by the foot with the cord installed somewhere it won't take forever to ship... :)

when i bought dexter his little drawer wasn't very big at all... so i figure 2.5" would be fine...

rich sells and ships flexwatt quickly. his link is at the top of this site.

I think you will totally have to cover the sides too to ensure proper insulation. It will be cake to do :D

    How tall is that thing?

I went to Reptilebasics but didn't really understand how to order the flexwatt in the quantity I want...

Hey Cue, if I do back heat, should I overlap a bit under the bottom tub?

Nah..it will be ok. Just set the rack on a slab of that insulation foam board.

If RB does not have what you desire hit me up and I will whip up a wired section and send it your way. Do you already have a thermostat?

    Here's the back:

Not enclosed but seems to me like a good candidate for back heat with the added foam board.

Cue, where do I get that? No thermostat yet, I'll have to work on getting another Helix. I am sure it will be sometime after Christmas... hopefully someone out there got me what I asked for, money. :P

Whoops  You can get the foam board at Home Depot or Lowes. It has a R value rating of 9 and 1/2" thick available in 4x8' sheets. You can trim to size with a razor blade and attach to your rack with aluminum ducting tape.

Well, the first stage of converting these drawers into a hatchling/juvie rack has been made... I ordered another Helix from Reptile Basics. :)

Next will be the foam board, and then some pestering of the Cueball for wired flexwatt.

Most of the horror stories I heard were from back ordered products that were still promised to be delivered.

I think the 11" flexwatt for back heat would be more practical and efficient.

Nope, never got this set up... I won't mention any names but I still haven't gotten the supplies for it! Hahahaha...

Anyway I'm not sure if this will ever get done or if I'm just going to give it to someone who needs it for what it is made for. I found a problem with the tub height... you can't really get any normal water bowls to work in it.
