Paypal ... I HATE IT!

So to help with this ordeal with getting our main pipeline done I sold one of my Warcraft accounts. Well, tonight I got an e-mail from Paypal that the seller is disputing the sale. Well if this happens and the buyer wins he gets the account and his money back. I hope I win this cause I did my part ...

Well, I don't know much about Warcraft, but that sucks! What's he disputing over? I had some cheapskate on Ebay sell me something and then file a dispute with them so they could get their entry fee back! I emailed Ebay and told them that I payed for the item and that all was well and they denied his request. Any chance of something like that working in your favor with PayPal?

Says that the buyer wasnt authorized to buy the account. However I no longer have any access to the account. Let alone if they account has the toons still on them.

I won't go into how I feel about people selling their established game accounts...but I hope it works out for you.

Just reply to them and say the account is already in his possesion and delivered as promised. You filled your side of the agreement.

if you still have the secrete question and answer to it, you should be able to get ahold of the account agian.

another thing, you shouldn't say you hate paypal, you hate the scammers who use it. paypal is a wonderful tool.

I've had my share of bad people on paypal. It is GREAT when everything goes as planned. Scammers stink!

Paypal has screwed me over in the past as well. I lost 115.00 from them since I payed from my bank account and not a credit card. As if they dont make tens of millions per day. Also I had the email changed to the guys email so I can't get the password.

I mean no disrespect in what I said and I can definitely see the difference between needing to do something and just doing it because you can.

Without taking your topic off track to far I'll say I guess I have more a bewilderment with people who buy game accounts with characters already advanced.

I recently sold a game acct and the monies went through paypal, but I was lucky in the regard if he had disputed it, I am a GM there so I could of stopped his acess to the game acct. Im not sure if you can get help from Warcraft staff like that.

I knew there was no disrespect. The only reason why I'd ever sell that account was for my family. That's what sucks is that the money is going towards getting our main pipeline replaced. So if this guy gets his money back im out of the money and the account I worked my butt off on.

Was this theough eBay, and if so, was the buyer reputable and did they have good feedback? Mark recently got a slap in the face while buying a stereo off ebay; turns out though, the seller had a TON of bad feedback. I personally will depete bids from people who I can tell are scam artists, and not ever, ever buy from them. I would rather pay $50 for a wallet from a reputable seller, than $10 from a deadbeat that sells gray-market slop.
Have you tried getting the account back from the buyer and refunding them the money? Maybe for some technical reason, the account is not working and they think you conned them.. grr, online trading can SUCK the big one!
