Earlier today I put my BP on my kitchen table so he could slide around for a few. So anyway, he's cruising around and decides to go into a pot which I had just washed and had sitting on a towell and takes a big ol' poop.

Does anyone ever wash/clean their snake? Maybe rub them down with a moist/wet towel?

Everybody needs a bath sometimes. Last week I had two snakes breeding and they were all snuggled up in the hide and the next day it reeks so I check on them and they both had massive pee's and are just swiming in it! Time to bath the snakes. The things we do for love!

I took my new little girl out today for the first time, and I showed her to my roomate. So hes got her resting on his chest while hes watching tv, all of the sudden he feels something warm, "dude, shes peeing on me!" Then she takes a big dump on him while I'm laughing! He threw the shirt away and took a shower! LOL

That got me laughing so hard Griggs.

Atleast she didn't pee on ME! Especially both!

    but seriously now,

what should a snakes solid "pee" look like? earlier it looked mostly white with some brown stuff too. I've seen shades of yellow too. Does it mean anything?

My BP Reggie, a 6 month old 22" male took a leak on my bed just as I was going to bed. So I had to stay up an extra hour and a half cleaning stuff. Its ok tho he snuggles most of the time, and never even hissed at a person so he was easy to forgive :carrot:

Their urine comes in two forms...typical liquid type urine and urates which are solid white (sometimes with a bit of yellow) that harden really fast into an almost chalklike substance. Their feces are basically brown turds and look pretty much like cat poop (at least they do to me). They are solid and shouldn't be runny if the snake is healthy.

lol; my big female constricted my thumb and had to be peeled off by my boyfriend. She was on there, the same way she'd go about constricting a rat.. that HURT, and it has given me a whole new realm of respect for these snakes; yes, they are animals, not rocks or model airplanes, and they will do unpredictable things, and we cannot hate them for it!

Last week was the first time my gf ever held a snake. I was on my way home with my new bp and she acually asks if she can hold it. She had always been afraid of them but i guess she wanted to show me she could do it. I hand it to her and 5 min later its pissin all over her pants and purse. Just kinda funny how it was the first time but she was ok with it and loves to hold my red-tail now.

lol. once again I had to run a snake who was starting to go into shed (I didn't catch that her eyes were cloudy until afterward) under the faucet to get it to let go of the forceps. Nothing like a snake that can't see to miss a small rodent and try to swallow the rubber coated forceps instead :P

lmao. thats too funny. oh well....My snake has peed twice when i took him out, one time i was holding him over a garbage can anyways, and the other time this kid was over my house, and i didnt like him at all, and i hated his girlfriend even more, and she was holding my snake (as much as i hated her, she was gentle, so i knew he wouldn't get hurt), and he peed and pooped all over her. I was extatic. lmao. I think he peed on me once, but its alright, we all gota go sometime!

I have a mini toilet in my aquarium (the water bowl) for my snakes to do their duty in. On top of that I supply fresh newspaper for the quarantines for some bathroom reading.

lol i've had my BP and blood pee on me a few times.the most recent was a few days ago i was watching TV and my BP was slithering around and he eventually settled on my chest.next thing i know i felt something cold and my first reaction was...he's peeing on me!! so i quickly picked him up and put him above the trash can and not only did he pee, but he pooped while he was at it!! i guess my trash can is his toilet now lol.

so do you mean they should be solid as it's coming out of the snake or after it has been on the ground for a while? normally when my snakes poop, it comes out wet and soggy and if i dont pick it up right away, it hardens after a while.

about the pee... Along with the liquid spot and usual white chalky looking stuff, I noticed some brown stuff too. Alittle less amount than the white. I'll keep my eye out for if she does it again... is this considered normal?
