I produced two of these little guys in the same litter so I'll assume its genetic. Look close in the first pic you can see the blue in the eyes. Their also dumbos so thats just a plus. I'll be keeping both of these. Pics arn't the best.

Those are very cool Larry, I didn't even know that there were any Leucistic rats. They're neat.

I didn't know either. I've been doing some surfing and I can't find any mention of lucy anywhere. Maybe I'm on to something here?

    Larry,

Hopefully they turn out to be true BEL. I had one born a couple years ago and after it was weaned it developed a patch of colored hair on one side of it's head. The color was a light blue/silverish color. As a pup it couldn't be seen, but when the rat was a little older the color showed.

Keep us informed. That would be interesting if they turned out to be pure white with blue eyes even when they were older! :)

I wonder if you actually have a Black Eyed White rat. Pretty rare from what I understand and sought after in the fancy/show/pet trade. White rats actually come in three forms....true Albinos, Pink Eyed White (PEW) and Black Eyed White (BEW). Personally I'd love a BEW that was also a Rex. They are really cute, almost like little lambs.
