My Experienece...
So, i posted about getting hair extentions before, and, i went to get them today. First i got there, and the lady went, "do you have your hair" now, i am really knew to this, and i was like, "uhmmm?" she realized that i had NO idea what i was talking about, so she took me to the hair store (yes, there are numberous hair stores around here), and picked out the right colors for me, we had to get 3 bags of hair becuase i have THICK hair, that was pretty expensive in itself, and then i went back to the salon with the lady, she had to braid my hair, sew that together, then sew the tracks of hair onto it, then flat ironed my hair that was over the extentions. Okay, if you ever decide to do this, remember it HURTS!!!! I had to call my dad and bring me some advil, it hurts a ton. I still have a hugeee headache. It'll be gone by tomarrow though (or atleast it better be.lol).
Anyways, i had hair just above my chest, and now i have hair almost down to my butt, it took about 4-5 hours (you loose track of time after that long), but the people at the salon were great, we sat there talking the whole time.
It was an okay experience, but a great addition to my look :D

Where's the pictures? :) How much did it end up costing you, all said and done (if that's not too personal)?

Re: My Experienece...
i'm going to take some pictures in a few days...They had to dye my roots to get it done, and i am allergic to hair dye, so my forehead is all broken out :(
Anyways, i dont like telling people how much things cost, but it was around 400$ in total.

Good lord...my stylist was trying to talk me into getting extensions for my wedding...I'm glad I didn't give in on the day of the wedding and tell him to go get some hair...=P
But congrats! Pictures?

That price isn't bad at all, based on what I read at the websites I looked at out of curiosity after your other post :) It was nice of the salon chick to shop for hair with ya, too!
Long hair is niiice :) Do you feel like a princess?
I'm sorry about the allergic reaction to the hair dye--no fun at all.

Re: My Experienece...
thanks! Yeah, at first i was like, uhm...wtf...then in the car every 2 seconds i would swat at a bug on my arm, and realized it was my hair lmao...
i currently feel like pokohontas (omg sp?, just sound it out)...i braided it,im sitting down and it still comes to about my waist :D.
yeah, the allergic reaction sucks, but i have this face mask, it's blue and its from H2O (great stuff), and it is really helping, i'm about to wash it off. i've dyed my hair a million times, it will be better in a few days.

Re: My Experienece...
When my hair used to be long (before a psycho hairdresser butchered it last Spring...) I always knew I needed a haircut when I started pulling my own hair by leaning back on it while in a chair and turning my head too fast ;)
I've never had an allergic reaction to hair dye...but once I was getting some very dark color stripped to dye my hair a lighter color and they did about 3 chemical treatments and a few days later my scalp skin began coming off in pieces...it was scary. I was so worried I was going to go bald. O.O
What's this H2O stuff of which you speak? I'm looking for some good facial care products (I have really sensitive skin).
Can't wait to see pictures of your "Pocahontas hair"!

Re: My Experienece...
Lovely extensions! Are they high maintenance in terms of keeping them looking good, etc?
-
Re: My Experienece...
nope....they are real human hair. i can wash, brush, straight iron, curl, anything i want as much as i want :D

Amy... your eyes are to die for!

Re: My Experienece...
Sooo, How do they attach the hair to yours? And when/if does it detach? Looks great BTW!

Re: My Experienece...
Thanks and thanks! I get the eye comment a lot. Lol. especially with black hair. anyways....They first, braid your hair, like corn rows (man do those HURT!), then they sew those together, then they sew the hair onto the braids, like in the middle of the braid i guess (i couldn't see the back of my head. it could be on the top of the braid, but whatever).
It is quite a painfull process, but the outcome is great :D
