The differences between a yellow belly and a normal can sometimes be very subtle, especially for those not familiar with them. What you have is most likely a normal. :)

yeah my ball has a "yellow belly" but i bought him for $30 as a manager's special.this one looks more like an "orange belly" and mine has distinct yellow blotches on his belly.but i just refer to him as a "normal".

There's more to a yellow belly than just having a yellow-looking belly.

Most yellow bellies have little or no yellow and are mostly clear(white)on the belly, flames on the sides are a good indicator. they have a look thats unmistakable once you have seen a few. you still have to go with a proven genetic bloodline if its Ivories you want to produce. :)

I know, I have definately seen pics of yellow bellies with no yellow on the belly and normals with yellow-colored bellies. I really like the yellow bellies with the jumbled looking pattern down the outside edges of the belly. :)

Prove it out??? Also, someone with experience dealing with yellow belly's would probably be able to give you a good idea of whether you had a yellow belly or not. Check the hunter's guide on nextworldexotics website and it points out the characteristics you should look for. In the end, I still believe you would have to prove it out though...
