non-emergency...kind of...
sooooo i need a good way to lift something that is WAY out of my strength range....
let me explain... i am moving a veryyyy heavy freezer into my bathroom for the new rats that i ordered, my guy friend came and helped me, but he had to go straight home (or so his parent said), and could only help me for about 10 minutes. so now i have a giant freezer in the middle of my hallway....and my dad is out, and will come home quite pissed, so i need some help. im pretty sure i weigh about as much as the freezer, and its just so hard for me to move....anddd its in the middle of my hallway, i have to climb over it to get to my rooms. its not too enjoyable, infact, quite painfull.
any suggestions?
thank you so much everybody....im kinda desperate here

Re: emergency...kind of...
I'd wait till your dad gets home.....I think he'll even be more mad if you hurt yourself.

Re: emergency...kind of...
well, i know my dad pretty well, and he's going to say, "you got it to there, you can move it again"...or "TFB, its blocking your rooms not mine", yeah, i know, hes a very sensitive man.

Re: emergency...kind of...
Call some other people over if you don't want to wait for your dad to get home...

Re: emergency...kind of...

Re: emergency...kind of...
Get a wheeler and move it out of the way.

Re: emergency...kind of...
I'm still stuck on trying to picture a freezer in a bathroom. :rolleye2: :P
(I know I'm helpful...sorry! LOL But my only suggestion would be to ask for help, and apparently there's none to be had. :confuzd: ) You got a neighbor you can go next door to ask?

Re: emergency...kind of...
well i got it into my room, but i cant get it into my bathroom, the door frame is too small...which i did not expect because all of the other doors it fit through, oh well. :(

How did you manage to get it in your room?

Hahahahahaha
Last time I moved a appliance by myself, I put the thing on a thick black and dragged it. Failing that, if you have enough room, tip it up, then "walk" it one corner at a time, just a little at a time too, don't try any wild swings.
I have to move large heavy thigns all the time by myself. Sheer stubborness works for me most times.

uhm. majorly...see this is the thing...i watch WAY too much court tv/csi etc etc, and i have sceen a lot of shows where murders happen in the garages, and i hate it...i was really looking forward to not having to go in there, BUT i guess i dont have a choice :slamhead:

Re: non-emergency...kind of...
Is this a large stand up freezer? I got an ice cream freezer on casters for free but I have seen them a little larger sell for as low as $150 on sale.

Re: non-emergency...kind of...
I was lucky enough to find a small upright freezer (it's about the same height as my kitchen counters) to use it for my rats.
