    Help!
OK feel free to yell at me if ya wish but I have a big problem.

I was cleaning out cages this morning, put every one in there bags, placed them in a play pen (it keeps them safe from the cat) and went to work.

As I was outside my husband informed me that 2 of my snakes were stuck by the tails and he wanted to know what he should do about it.

I ran inside to look and there was Pandora and Baby locked up.

Im still trying to figure out how Baby got up to Pandora... seeing how the play pen I bought has a basinette on top and Pandora was placed up there to be away from every one else.

I slid a piece of plastic under them and moved them to a makeshift cage.

Pandora is at the right weight and all but I just dont know what to do.

Should I just let this happen or should I try and break them up?

    Thanks
    Jess

Leave them alone until they're finished.

LOL Most people complain that there snakes won't breed and this is the first time I've heard someone say the opposite. There are alot of people that wish they had your problem! Sounds like it's time to start knitting snake booties!

Reguarding the escaping. I find it is always best to have extra tubs or spaces in your rack. I have double tubs/spaces for rats and snakes that way on clean up days they just go into a fresh tub, no rush to clean, no stress to snakes or me! What can a few extra tubs cost? Not as much as my babies lives thats for sure!

yeah ... I was in a rush this morning and I wanted to get everything done befor I had to go to work. I had a few hours and with being sick for so long and being in and out of the hospital... the cages didnt get cleaned.

I didnt tie the bags like I would if I was going somewhere in the car or for shipping. I just folded over the top, twisted once and wraped a hair tie around it. This is the first time any one has gotten out. and I never really worried about the boys getting out in the play pen, I was more worried about Pandora getting out and getting lost.

I had my husband keep an eye on the "kids" but he got hung up on the computer and wasnt doing his job.

I will be form now on. I just got off the phone with a friend of mine in SC about 40 miles from me and he told me to keep this up untill Feb or longer. She needs to start building, at least that is what he told me.

He is coming by this weekend to check her out for me and deliver my "ugly" pastel male. He had a butt load of pastels given to him because they wouldnt eat. avter he got them eating every week, he sold all but one and gave him to me because the one I wanted was sold right befor I made my payment.

He had his pastels up for $150 for males and $250-$300 for females on Fauna.

I just hope the BP gods will smile down on me this year. I need something good to happen to me :D

So are you glad that they bred? There is always the chance that it didn't take, but I was just wondering. How many grams is the girl?

I'm very happy that they are breeding. I paired them up again last night and they are still locked up, it has been a little over 12 hours.

She weighs in at a hefty 2009 gr. The guy that delivered my Pastel brought me a better scale and so far my old scale was way off.

He also told me to keep pairing the two snakes untill she starts building.

I'm also pleased with my pastel. He is a cuttie. Ugly as all heck color wise but for a little guy that didnt eat for the first 2 months of his life he looks like a porker
here is his sister. He looks just like her with alsmost the same head.

Sorry I dont have a photo of him... I need to get my camara some more battries.
