    Let's see your X-mas tree!
Heeeere's ours! It's nothing huge or fancy, but it's ours, and all of the ornaments hold special meaning.

I dunno if we're gonna be able to put up ours either...Cleo's palace kinda takes up too much room in the living room...

I'm sad. I REALLY like having a Christmas tree. I didn't for so many years after I moved away from home, finally getting one made me feel like a grown up, hehe. =)

They all look good. I don't put up a tree, since it's only me here, and I go home to dad's house for Christmas anyway.

    Oohhh, I love Tuesday Morning!!

Yeah, I know TX is kinda drab in the winter...neither green nor white. LOL

Cass....maybe you could get one of those small table-top trees? I usually use one of those if we're traveling home for Christmas with family. It's not quite as fun as the big trees...but still gives that nice Christmasy feeling and gives you something to hang a few small, pretty ornaments on. And lights....gotta have lights! ;)

oh wow, those are all so beautiful! My family is jewish (i'm open to anything, and not really practicing anything at the moment, more of a spiritual person vs. religious), and i never get do to the decorations or the christmas tree. I get so jealous looking at everybody's trees. Oh well, i get to help with the one at my BF's house. :D

Re: Let's see your X-mas tree!
I am not religious in the sense of Christianity; personally, the Yuletide season is the time when I like to bond with my family more, as we are not as busy as summer/good weather times; I love to buy things for them also, and we go all-out, especially for my mom.. bought her a couch one year; this year we are re-doing her kitchen floor as a surprise!
My tree is basically something I grew up with; not the actual tree, but the symbolism of the season. It reminds me of the childlike glee that I felt (and still feel!) at this time of year, just because.

    nice tree!!!

here's ours. we set it up last night. our two hyper kitties can NOT be trusted... which was obvious this morning when we found misty sleeping half way up the tree!

so this year, no ornaments - just some bows and candy canes... and lights. this way... they can't wreck my precious memories!

Ok, so you guys caught me...

I was born Methodist. I have wonderful memories of putting up a Chrismon tree. That is a tree that has orniments that are all Christ's monigrams. Each orniment tells a special tale. I wish that I had a picture of one to share. Google Chrismon tree, there are a bunch on the web. Some are gorgeous.

Now I am Jewish, so I do not have a tree; however, as I live in a CO-OP where we have a communal outdoors tree. I'll get a picture of it tonight to post.

If this thread is still up, Chanukah starts Friday night. I'll post some pictures of our Menorah's on Sat night or Sun.

Best wishes to all for a most JOYOUS Chismas and Holiday Season. AND a fabulous New Year!

No tree for past several years. The kids live too far away to see it. Too much work for the 2 of us , we're rarely home enough to get enjoyment from it. We do make time to feast though!! :carrot:
