    Resisted on spending money
Some may know this but collecting snakes is not my only hobby. I also have a nice collection of guns that is growing very fast. Well every time theres a gun show I attend it and am usually broke after it. The last two gun shows I have spent about $1,200 at. Todays show, I went with $250 and only spent 40 of it. I kept thinking about geting stuff for my 'fun' gun but then the name, yellow anaconda kept poping into my head. So I was very proud of myself for not spending it and now I can get my yellow anaconda when one is available. Is there any one else here that collects guns?

Over the last 2 years I've totally changed my buying habits. I hardly buy anything now unless It's some I know I wont get bored of. I hardly ever buy DVD's anymore and other useless crap. The only thing I will always spend money on is CD's. I need music no matter what is going on or else I go nuts! But yeah that lil voice in your head telling you to not buy can be rather loud sometimes.

They're just so expensive. I own a Browning Hi Power Mark III 9mm. The only other gun I may be purchasing in the future will be a shotgun for trap shooting. There's a local trap club, and many of the people where I work shoot trap.

I've shot a sig 40. My uncle bought it from a cop friend of his. They seem to be a pretty nice gun. Disassemble for cleaning pretty easy from what i could tell. PJ FF, what is your "fun gun"?

We have a few of your basic hunting rifles and shotguns; my gun though is a Ruger .22 that was modified by my man, into something like a bullpup. It is pretty cool; I will try to post a pic soon!
Funny that you should post today; Mark just got the letter in the mail saying that he got approved for his pistol permit! He is getting a Sig Sauer .45 this week.

My first gun when I was 8 was a ruger.

It's a great rifle; it does jam, but it is more my fault for not cleaning it as it should be. But I HATE.. no, I LOATHE, the smell of the gun cleaning stuff. Mark cleans them outside on the porch, out of the goodness of his little heart, because it makes me want to yack. I am not squeamish; smelling blood and guts at the butcher shop, fine. But that junk... urgh.

The one that I put the most money into is a .223 AR-15 style rifle. Its made by DPMS panther arms. I was going to get a front verticle grip for it today but once I decieded to do that, I was past everything and didnt want to walk back and find it. Then my favorite pistol would be my Springfield XD-9 4 in. service model. Im looking to sell it to get a .45 Im not sure what make though. Im leaning towards a 1911 from springfield possibly. I am also thinking about the glock 32(I think) which is the .357 model.

My first high powered gun was a Remington 20 gauge shotgun model 870, youth edition. It came with a shorter stock and short barrel. I still have it to this day and clay shoot on rare occasions. The first gun that I ever bought was a Mausburg .270. I needed a deer hunting rifle and a .270 was a good mix between a decent deer gun(a .243) and a higher powered, but overpowered 7mm.

One of my rifles is a .270 bolt action. My father has a semi-auto .270 that I would die for.

I own a RRA Entry Tactical (AR-15), a Romanian SAR-1 and a Springfield XD45. I'v actually sold a gun or two to finance snake purchases lately heh. The SAR-1 is a blast to shoot, but for precision the AR-15 blows it away (it's pretty dang fun too :D .) We have lots of desert around here so lots of places to just go out and go through some rounds.

Nice, how do you like the XD 45? I shot my uncles when I was in Iowa but didnt really get used to it. Im thinking that a 45 will be my next.
