Almost got killed..!

I went up our long driveway on our ATV to get the mail. I had to get off of it, turn it off but keep the light shining across the road, as our mailbox is across and it was/is pitch black night.... so I go over, get the mail. Well, all of a sudden, there are these three cars FLYing down the road.. two were in the wrong, oncoming lane (it's 2-lane highway) I think they were either racing, or two cars were passing the one, but they were all going over 70mph it was obvious. Well, the one car came within about a foot of me on the shoulder of the road, waving my arma, highly visible b/c of the ATV light..
The way it's setup, they could have slammed me, left me for dead, and no one would know. However we do have a neighbor that's very watchful; he was out and heard me yell a ton of obscenities after them, lol.. I am just glad to be OK now.
Even worse, our driveway is on a hill, situated so they could not have possibly seen anything that was oncoming.. shudder. :mad:

Your very lucky... There was a lady killed the EXACT same way where we used to live.... :(

There was nowhere to run; there's just a steep ditch along the side. I could not even tell what model the cars were or anything.. just these high beams in my face. Makes me wish I coulda shot out their tires.

i got hit my a car before...

some people are just idiots. I had a close a couple months ago. A power line came down in the street here where we live so myself and some other neighbors where keeping people away from it (I served on FD in the past). Anyway we had some vehicles out to keep any cars away and I had a flashlight and was flagging a car to stop and they buzzed me. I was like WTF...i know they saw me and the vehicles...they where just lucky the line didn't catch on their vehicle and harm them or any of us from a recoil.

People are just idiots when they drive like that :mad: .I am glad you were not harmed:)

My type of women:cool: .You know exactly how to correct ignorant drivers with LEAD :D .I HEARD this also helps with the morons who drive with there brights on all the time:P .

Oh I have terrible road rage. Being forced to live in this town has really brought it out.
WHY do people see the need to stop at GREEN lights? Oh, is there a two inch space in front of you? Here, let me JAM myself in there....
My language has gotten quite colorful thanks to this WA town.

VERY glad to hear that you're okay, I hate morons that drive like that, back home we lived by some teens and they'd drive crazy. One night we heard this KABOOM! Well...one had hit a deer at 90. They were fine (I don't know how but they were), the deer and the car were totaled but sadly the next week they were back at it...

I can't say that I have road rage, but I like to talk to the other drivers. Just the other day I was starting to get frustrated was a slow car in front of me when my daughter yells from the back seat 'Move it Dude'. :O (I'm soooo glad I don't curse!!) She's apparently appointed herself queen of the road, and tells me exactly what I, or anyone else, is doing wrong. It really suprised me that she pays that much attention to her surroundings, especially when she usually lives in a very happy world of her own making. :oops:
