    First BP, first pic post!
Woot! I just got my first BP yesterday. She was a little nervous/shy at first, presumably from being in a box for 16 hours. I'll unwrap her in a day or two. Her name is Polilla (puh-lee-uh/po-lee-uh), which is butchered Spanish for "moth" -- I hope. Anyhow, we'll see if the pics work.

I've heard it before. You've got to keep in mind that spanish is spoken in a lot of countries. There are some words my family uses in casual conversation with each other that in other countries means something rude. We call popcorn something else but I don't know how to spell it I just know how to say it.

And back on track that snake is gorgeous love the reduced pattern

First of all, thanks for raining on my parade... kidding. All I can say is, different strokes for different folks. I'm sure your mother is a very smart woman, and I'm glad she uses the word "palomita" for moth.

It truly depends on who you ask, where you live and which dictionary you use. I have a dictionary that says "polilla" is moth, a spanish professor who's a native speaker and has never heard that word before, and a stranger's mother who says it means termites. Who knows. It sounds pretty, and that's her name. Call her termites if you'd like...
