There is not one "domestic" snake. Domestic is like a dog who has been in human care for millions of years.....pet snakes on the other hand for about 25 years. Just to clarify for ya.;)

BRB are really cool snakes. Hope it all goes good for you!:D

Oh yea I know the longevity of most reptiles is fairly long, I just heard alot of the BRBs are kinda nippy and tempermental.

Edit: Oh I thought you meant something else sorry, anyone know where a good and approved care sheet is???

yes rainbow boas are pretty nippy and not recommended as a first snake but seeing as you have humidity loving iguanas and they are probably large(just my guess) then i see no problem of getting a brb but if you do not want a generally nippy snake that gets about the same size get a columbian boa bci :)

Is it okay to hold them with some kind of rubber gloves or something when there young and I know the gloves will block the scent of myself but I oculd prolly carry him in a t-shirt of mine. Could I do this and what kind of cage do you recommend??? thanks

Also. BRB's require certain temps as well. And they can be affected rather easily if things aren't right.

A Brazilian Rainbow Boa is not a starter snake. Ther care requirements are more difficult than a Ball Python or most other Boas.

I've raised my males from teeny-tinees, and they'll still take a strike at cha'! It's their nature...

in my oppinion most brbs above 4 ft felt about the same as my 9ft burmese(well the burm probably hurt a little more) because they have longer and more curved teeth as they are somewhat aboreal. i would much rather be bitten by a 6ft iguana than a 4ft brb. all snakes will bite you at some point so if you dont want it to be to often get a bci. wearing gloves will make everything worse because they will not become acclamated to your scent :)

Thats why I was saying could I hold it in a t-shirt while holding it with protective gloves. Wouldnt the tshirt give off enough of my scent?

i have just been trying to be helpful. you have 2 iguanas and are extremelyscared of being bitten by a snake. you refused my oppinion so you do what you want but after it bites you dont come trying to get rid of it and please, dont give me negative feedback because you refuse to listen.
