I Did It!!!
Well I just gave my first shot all by myself to Saharah! I don't have any feeling in my legs right now, and my heart is still racing but I didn't throw up or pass out...
Last night my friend got bad news about his grandmom and forgot to come over and give her, her shot. Tonight he's working till 10pm and it's raining horrible out there. So I was not about to ask him to drive all the way down here after working 15 hours today and I'm NOT driving 30 miles in the rain and in the dark... so I sucked it up, prepared myself for a good hour and finally did it. If it were daylight and raining, I'd have no problem taking her up to him... but I'm halfway night blind and should not be driving at night. I don't, unless I absolutely need to. So yeah.... I did it. WOW!

Good Job...But that's nothing...I've been giving my 7yr old shots nightly for the past 3 yrs. This past year he finally stopped running and screaming when it was shot time.

I have a needle phobia... but for some reason I had no problem whatsoever giving injections to my snake.

Re: I Did It!!!
Lucky for you!
Hopefully I'll be able to give her the next one too without having any problems.

Maybe the more you have to do it Allison, the easier it will get for you. Excellent that you fought your fear for the sake of your snake! :)

Re: I Did It!!!
Well done for conquering that fear
When i got my first royl she had an R.I and needed injections and I was all nervous and scared of hurting her too :)
Oh and how do we get a spell checker in the posting window for all us "hard of thinking" afflicted people?

I use FireFox 2.0 that has a spell checker built into it.

Re: I Did It!!!
I'd LOVE to get a tat, but umm I think I'd need to be highly drugged or put to sleep to get one done. :(

Re: I Did It!!!
The softer the part the worse they hurt. It want make you cry but its not the most comfortable thing you'll ever put yourself through. You ever down this way I hook you up with a friend of mine he'll be gentle and he does great work. LOL

Re: I Did It!!!
I'd like to get some kind of snake tat, been really thinking about it. Everyone keeps telling me that it doesn't hurt all that bad, but it does get uncomfortable.

Re: I Did It!!!
Pain is relative its not it'll feel like getting your arm cut off by rope burn. I feel like a bad sun burn. Your skin feels tight and it feels like when you scratch a bad sun burn.

Re: I Did It!!!
I can deal with that! I had sun poising when I was a teen and put me in the hospital. Talk about your whole body feeling like it was on fire. It hurt to wear any clothes or have the hospital sheets touch my skin. That was a horrible summer!
