CONTEST: looking for a cover image!!!

Hi Everyone,

The cover image I had slated for the March 2007 issue of my magazine, Timeless Spirit has been cancelled. The photographer's father just passed away so he can't get me the image and other information I need to go with it in time... so... with the permission of admin... I have a little 'contest' for you all.

I need an image for the issue... the theme is "Pets". I do not, however want a snake image for the cover although a snake within the image may be acceptable (for example a beautiful forest drawing with a snake in it).

I have no preconcieved idea of what I'm looking for but here's what I'd like from you all. The art can be a photograph, drawing, painting, sculpture, photoshop piece (in other words... any media you use)... it can be serious, fun... no limitations at all (except family friendly of course). Please post your pics here (maximum 400 pixels wide).

The cover image comes with a page "About the Cover" where you can share pretty much anything you want. You can highlight your business, your life... just look back through the archives of the magazine to get an idea of what some of the past cover artists have done.

The entire issue is created from the cover... colours, font, all the graphics... so your work/passion/art will be highlighted greatly!

The 'About the Cover' page is the MOST read page of the magazine... so remember, it's a whole lot of publicity for you.

The only requirement: the image must by yours. You had to have created it. No you cannot submit an image for a friend... they need to sign up here and post it themselves.

I thought about going my usual channels for getting art for the cover and then thought of how many talented people we have on this site... and wanted to offer it to you all! So... go ahead and post.

When I've chosen a cover image... I'll let you all know and then you'll see it when the issue comes online Feb. 15th 2007! The artist will be contacted by pm and asked to submit to my email a larger image (as 400 pixels is too small for the magazine) and then I'll get the rest of your info for the 'About the Cover' page at that time.

Just to be clear... bp.net has nothing to do with this... this is for my magazine and so... to be completely fair... everyone including admin and moddies can submit their art. I will be the one choosing the cover image (cause that's the way it is when it's your magazine :giggle: )

So come on folks... let's show off your talent!!!

Hmm... I know you mentioned no snakes. But I must make this suggestion. I have seen Medusa Owls website (I'm sure you have too) and it is filled with amazing original art... maybe you could use one? (Like the blood python pic!)

if she chooses to submit it here... then it will definitely be considered!
