So, how many of you are sick yet? The whole school where i'm at is basically sick. And, i thought i was going to dodge it with Vitamin C and Echenasea (SP?)...but apparently not.

I hardly ever get sick. My wife and kids have been sick for the last two weeks. I can't remember the last time I had a cold or flu.

Our youngest child started kindergarten this year so it's the hell year for every new germ to come home with him. :( Poor little guy is sick right now but that new Mucinex Cough for Kids stuff is great! We've had the adult version but just found the one especially for the junior crew....good stuff for heavy chest congestion type colds.

If you really want to avoid getting the flu the best way to do so is to get an influenza vaccine.....see http://www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/keyfacts.htm

They will run you about 26 dollars and there are plenty of them this year.

It not too late to get one either!

Other than that take care of yourself and wash your hands often!

i already got my vaccine, i just have the common head cold. although it is quite annoying. My boyfriend's Mom's boyfriend (lol) is an EMT, and he brought home some extra vaccines.

I have been absolutely miserable for 2 to 3 weeks, but it's not the flu and it's not a cold. I'm off to see my regular doctor in about 30 minutes, and then I'll find out if they need to take out my gall bladder. :puke2: Just after I thought I'd gotten a hang on that, and the meds I needed, I got a peritonitis abscess. At this point it seems to be going away with antibiotic treatment. So hopefully they won't have to take out my tonsils as well.

I'm thrilled that I managed to eat turkey dinner, as the whole throat infection makes it very painful to swallow.
