Re: Angolan Python Pictures
 Man I want one, but I can't afford it.
Re: Angolan Python Pictures
beautiful!
are they easy going snakes? they actually kind of look like BPs in the pics, the head shape etc
Re: Angolan Python Pictures
Afaik there alot like bps in temperment , hardier and better feeders too
Re: Angolan Python Pictures
Wow! I want some. Just beautiful! Congrats.:D
Re: Angolan Python Pictures
Man gorgeous! What do those things go for?
Re: Angolan Python Pictures
About 5k for a pair. Sometimes lone males are sold, but females are rarely sold alone at this time.
Re: Angolan Python Pictures
Sorry to bring up an oldish thread!!
Definitely a very popular snake but still fairly rare. We have found six breeders but only one care sheet.
As stated above care should be pretty similar to that of the BP.
Can get up to 7 foot long ?? Most intersting aspect I think is the skin texture.
Checked out the MorphCapital and did not find any reference to Anoglan Pythons otherwise I would added it to our webpage on the species.
Prices, from what we have found vary from £3000, CDN $6500 and US $ 5000 a pair, which is not expensive if one conciders how rare they are.
Better start saving too!
Re: Angolan Python Pictures
I love Angolan's the feel so cool. LOL
Re: Angolan Python Pictures
i definitely want one in the future
are the females often sold as pairs, because they want to encourage breeding?
Re: Angolan Python Pictures
I *think* females are rarely sold alone for the same reason many push the sales of pairs. No one wants to be stuck with a bunch of males...there's probably more to it but I think that's part of it.
When I picked up my yellow belly pair from Alex Hue's house he had a pair of angolan's sitting on the table also for someone else. I really wanted to trade the YB pair for those but I knew he wouldn't have it so I didn't ask...I just stared at them all night while we talked LOL.
Re: Angolan Python Pictures
From what I've heard these sound like great snakes - similar husbandry to a BP, perhaps slightly easier even, and a bit bigger whilst being far from giants.
My question is why are they so rare and expensive? Wild specimens are obviously rare and protected but surely by now demand would have ramped up the availability of CB Angolans?
Re: Angolan Python Pictures
Angolan pythons look very beautiful, I would to see a large adult. I was looking them up and found this CITES information...more like an registration and contact details to import but I found it interesting. Have a look for yourself...
