    Facilities/Snake Rooms...
So lets see what everybody has...I always love seeing others setups...gives me some new ideas sometimes...

Heres an older pic of a corner of the room from earlier this yr....Its a lot more filled up right now but you get the idea....The reason for only the 4 racks is because at the time I had a bunch of them in the quarenteen room and I never got around to taking updated pics....On the 2 walls pictured there are a few more racks...on the other side theres a baby rack and a shelf above with a leo...we also have a seperate quarenteen room which has 3 racks....Right now we are adding a slop sink and redoing one of the walls (a rat got loose and messed up the insulation) so once we get finished with that (hopefully by next weekend) ill get some new pics of the whole entire room instead of that one little corner lol...Heres a crappy pic for now...

So lets see what everybody elses looks like....

I thought for sure you were going to say that they were HerpEnclosures racks - look just like mine - or is Neil selling some of Rich's racks now?

Here's my single rack, will be getting another this spring and hopefully a hatchling rack from Rich as well:

I don't have an updated picture, but I can show you a few stages, including racks Im using

Don't mind the tubs on top of that one, this was the day of getting in a lot of snakes, and ended up with snakes > racks for a few.

Imagine trying to find 300 tubs :)

But as far as having an accurite in every tub... the nice part about racks that are all on the same piece of flexwatt, and if your warm air is circulating in the room keeping top of rack and bottom of rack similar temps, you don't need an accuwrong in every tub.

I did this for a little while in my one rack, and I found out that all of the temps stayed constant as well as humidity (makes sense when you use the same heat, same tubs, same substrate in every tub.

Plus I found out that the accu"rite" were often off as much as 3-5 degrees and 10-20% humidity, even if they were all placed in the same tub.

Good enough for an approximation, but I ended up going with a temp gun instead. If you run through your tubs you can verify they are all the same/almost identical.

Nice set-ups everyone!! I'll have to take some updated shots of ours soon.

Someday Kara, but for now, I can only dream...... I love the Balls to the Wall!! I also saw your Habitat Systems Limited custom job in their portfolio they sent us. We are getting about $20 K worth of custom exhibits from them for a future exhibit hall at the aquarium, and I couldn't be more excited!!! Finally some non-native herp exhibits at work!...but shhhhh, you didn't hear it from me...:D Can't wait to see more pics!

Here's our dining room (who needs to actually dine in one when you have a computer and a sofa?) First, the rack:

Then, our BCI cage; atop is little Luna, our '06 from Cue, in the r-maid.

Also have the new het in quarantine in a seperate room.
