Our 8 week old boxer puppy!

My girlfriend and I just picked her up from the airport saturday. I've been waiting for the right moment to snap a quick one and she just looked too cute to resist taking this shot. She's an 8 going on 9 week old boxer brindle and she is a total sweetheart. BP.Net this is Kyla! I'll be taking more pictures as well as she grows up.

I've never owned one myself but she is awesome. She already knows Sit!

One thing that I think is kinda cute as well....all of her toes are black except for 1 that is bright pink... lol

Oh she's darling! We have an 8 month old boxer/lab cross. Very smart puppy but smart enough to get into trouble LOL. Thanks goodness for puppy cages is all I can say.

I love boxers! My brother and his wife just got a gorgeous male boxer a month ago. I would love to have one:D

I have a 2 year old boxer called Chad , they certainly live up to there reputation of being the clown of the dog world! i love em! :rockon:

I wonder if brindle in dogs is inheritable? I just read an article about very rare brindle horses; they are not genetic and are actually a result of chimerism (sp?) The brindled horse has two complete sets of different DNA.. the brindle effect is the result of there having been twins that merged together, so in effect it is two horses in one!
I think it may be different in dogs though, not sure.. genetics usually confounds me.

You have to check out the pics of Steve's boxer, Chad. A face to die for! At some point I can see us buying a pure boxer as well of course as our mixed boxer Gunnar the Goofball.

Her newest self-taught trick.....paw at the nice plastic tray in the bottom of your crate...shove said tray out in front of crate while you remain inside (hope mom trips over tray *bonus points!*)...now that you have purchase on the floor through the open crate bottom...."walk" crate around the room....creates mucho fun and LOTS of noise...(convinces humans that a really clumsy burglar has broken in *major bonus points!*)

Boxers are goofballs but really smart ones! LOL

Gin.. in dogs, brindle is very common and is genetic.

I did not know that about horses.. I knew brindles were rare, and I've seen pics of them.. strange.

Yeah, That's actually really interesting to think about...

Cuteness overload!!! I love boxers. My fawn boxer is just over 7yrs old. His eyes & expressions seem so human. It's like they can tell you what they're thinking just by looking at you! Congrats to your new family addition!

She's adorable! I hope you plan to keep her ears natural - I love boxers with natural not cropped ears. My boss cropped his boxer's ears because......his ears were too small for his head! I said - well, let's just make them smaller then, why don't you? LOL


Puppies are adorable, if you can make it through the juvenile delinquency stage where she forgets what "sit" means and everything else she's learned - you're golden! That's when you wish they'd become adults already! LOL
