Rounding out the female side of things....
Mike and I are very pleased to be adding some lovely females to our collection. Robin's females are simply stunning as you all know and we couldn't be more pleased to be receiving these three females sometime next week or the week after (weather allowing of course).

First up lovely Godiva (normal 05) who I've watched from day one. She's a simply stunning female. With Robin's kind permission, we've renamed all the females to fit our celtic theme and Godiva deserves a very special name. I've chosen Morag (more-agh)...not only because it's a personal favorite and I love the sound of it but also because it means "the great one" and she's certainly that.

    http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...ons/Godiva.jpg

Next, fiesty Leeloo (normal 05). Robin knows how I love a snake with a little attitude and Leeloo apparently has that and a fantastic feeding response to boot! I've renamed her Doireann (dor-ee-ann). It means "tempetuous weather" and brings to mind a gorgeous sudden storm which I think suits this lovely, flashy snake perfectly.

    http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...ns/LeelooD.jpg

Last but never least, Sahara (normal 06). I wanted a very special name for this snake as she's a gift from Robin to Mike and I. Robin was a dear friend when we experienced our first loss in the collection and insisted that she wanted to gift us with Sahara no matter how much we insisted we couldn't accept her. Robin's heart is as big and wonderful as it comes folks. Sahara will be called Cara (care-ah) which is a simple but lovely celtic name and means "friend". It will be wonderful to watch this beautiful snake mature and know that her name honors a very dear friend.

Thank you Robin. You're a wonderful friend and I know an up and coming person in this BP world. Your collection is one to be very proud of my friend and Mike and I look forward to bringing these three very special females of yours to maturity and sharing with you in the joys of their offspring.

Folks, there's some days when an online forum/board is a tough place to be...and there are some days when it's the best place to be. For us, sharing our excitement with you all as our collection and our dreams grow - well this is just one of those best days. :)

I could not be happier that these girls are going to a home where they will not only be breeders, but beloved pets! I hope you get as much enjoyment from them as I have! :)

Thanks Jamie....we're just thrilled to be moving forward with the collection after a very quiet number of months (patience was killing me there for awhile as you well know LOL). Don't worry Robin, we'll be spoiling them just as much as you do LOL. The female rats are on overtime producing more food for the new snakes and if the mousie eaters don't like rats...I'll just trade some for mice (no mouse breeding till I get a basement...lil stinkers they are!) We can't wait to get this lovely trio in. I'm so excited to have a total of 4 06's now...the baby group (okay now everyone all together say....awwwwwwwww) :)

You don't name so badly Christie (hehehehehehehe :P ). Thanks Rapture, it's not really that hard since we follow a theme of irish and now scottish celtic based naming so I just actually look for ones that have a meaning special to us or descriptive of some aspect of the snake. The hard part is learning to pronounce and spell them correctly (yay for sticky notes!)

Geesh - I was WAY off on her on my earlier post - but I was going from my OLD memory! LOL

Was hoping Doireanna would have shed today to get you some new pictures (and of course get my last pictures of the girls for my own files). Looks like she'll probably shed tonight or tomorrow.

Just a quick update....the three females are on their way being overnighted from Robin to Mike and I so it's the fun "track the snakes all night and first thing in the morning" thing LOL. Warmed up tubs await!

You'll be the second (well third as Mike and I get first and second position) person to know they are here safe Robin LOL. The delivery guy never counts as I always just snatch the snake, scribble my signature and run off....wonder what he thinks about that!

It was harder this time than before, but likely because 3 were leaving at one time.

I know that they will be loved and well cared for in their new home!

Wow, this is awesome. :) Stunning females; they all are. Jo, your collection is getting Big!
I am also happy that you're not using the name Godiva.. I actually had that filed away for a special female that I will eventually get. ;)

Re: Rounding out the female side of things....
The girls are here safe and sound and completely unfazed by the whole deal. Robin you did a super packing job and the heat pack kept them toasty. Nobody balled up, hissed or struck coming out of the snake bags. Mike and I are in love LOL. Morag (aka Godiva) is just a lovely and dark chocolate as we'd hoped, Dori (aka Leeloo) has the prettiest head (very like Orlah with that faded look outlined in black) and little Cara (aka Sahara) has the most insane flames! All beautiful and unique.

    Hugs!
