    Got some bad news.
One of the females I hatched this year passed away, shes never eaten by herself and I had to force feed her quite a few times. She would never shed by herself either, I would soak her and I had to get most of her shed off aswell. Its like she didnt know what to do. Her temps and humidity couldnt have been any better, I tried live, frozen, prekilled, mice, rats, the newspaper trick, brown paper bags, and everything else you try to get them to eat but she never shown any interest in the food. This is very hard, to know I saw her poke her head out of the egg and take her first look at the world and now this. :(

Oh Aric how sad. We had an 06 pass away in our hands this year and I know how dreadfully frustrating and heartbreaking it is. It must be so much worse for you having hatched this little one and worked so hard to try to give it a chance at life. Unfortunately, one of the hard lessons in breeding any living creature is not all of them are meant to grow up. Big hugs and so sorry for your loss.

I lost a couple of girls this year as well, and it is definately not fun. Fortunately the babies I bred are all doing very well.

I think this deserved to be said again. Better to be happy with the time you have, which is what this girl had.

Thanks everyone for the warming words. I think the worst part is the fact that I saw her pip and now this, but I know this is part of breeding snakes. She was pretty funky, she was always real wobbly, she would try to crawl out of the tub and she would just flop upside down.
