    Firefox 2.0 = spell-checker
Firefox 2.0 has a sweet built-in spellcheck that underlines your spelling boofs in red and lets you right-click to correct.

Good news for my Neanderthal typos (yep it corrected that for me)

Ugh. I hate firefox. I d/l'd it and it brought my computer to a slow crawl. Everyone else I know who installed it had the same experience.

I have never had a problem with it. Try downloading firetune.

    Firefox rocks!

Just downloaded the new version.......I didn't like the default setting of an x in each tab....thought it was kind of annoying.

Found this to help me customize it back towards the look of my 1.5 version http://firefox.group.stumbleupon.com/forum/52124/

The spell checker can be toggle on and off.....which is nice when typing posts with a lot of scientific terms that may not be in the dictionary.

Though Allele, Haploid, Heterozygous, herpetology, were all in the spell checker dictionary....I'm impressed!

Right click on the field/dialog box your typing in and scroll down to "Spell Ceck this field".

When it is checked the spell checker will be on and it will underline misspelled words for you!

Right click an underlined word and it will give you suggestions just like MS Word does.....

I used to do that...until I realized that the little "Google window" on my Google toolbar will also spellcheck for me. Not quite as effecient as having it done right in the text...but a long-shot better than going to an entirely different program in a different window to check one word.

Just a little hint for anyone who can't or won't use Firefox. ;)

Now If we could only get a Firefox Search Bar Extension for ball-pythons.net!

A Herp related site does have one....http://mycroft.mozdev.org/download.h...mitform=Search

Any real computer geeks want to take a crack at that? LOL

There's a reason....I consider wikipedia a search engine and that reason is the firefox search bar!
