So I finally cave and am switching to a rack
I was just on the Boaphile site and found the prefect rack system for me.
    I am going to get a RhinoRaxx Ball Room Rack w/ the 4 sterilite 1960 ( 41qt ) tubs.
Does anyone on here have or know anyone who has one of these? And if so what do they think of them ?

I guess I will be putting my AP T-11 up for sale :)

never bought from them..but there is a pretty long wait from what i've read...at least 4+ weeks....and there's a very lengthy thread right now on FaunaClassifieds.com in the Board Of Inquiry with a very upset customer. I havn't had time to read it in its entirety, so i do not know if Jeff, the owner of Boaphile, made good in the end...Let me also add that if you search the BOI, you will find a number of satisfied customers as well.

I don't think I can post the link so I will PM the link to you

Oohhh, makes me wish I was still local to you, Jody....I'd love to have that AP, even if it sat in storage in my garage for awhile before I could use it. :P

SOoooo...does this mean you're getting more snakes?? :carrot:

Cheaper to just build your own rack in the long run.

Id ditch the BoaFile idea and hit the Freedom breeder or make your own. How many snakes will be in them?

I could be wrong but I think Christie's rack is a Boaphile (though a different model I think).

I've also heard great things about ARS Caging. I believe it's what Ben_Renick uses.

How bout' Herp Enclosures 4 slot 41qt. rack? A bit cheaper, and I've heard quite a few positive reviews.

I believe that Robin uses one of their racks...

I do have HerpEnclosures. Rich gave me excellent customer service, I never had problems contacting him, my rack came very well packaged within a week of ordering...I would suggest him :)

Building your own is great! It seriously took us less than an hour to assemble once we got the precut melamine (cut by Home Depit) home.

Re: So I finally cave and am switching to a rack
Thanks for the other suggestions I am gonna look into them.

As for building myself, see it's kinda of funny as I build custom homes for a living ,so building one would be so easy and extra cheap. But there lies the problem, I build for a living, so the last thing I want to do in my free time is build anything. I know this sounds lame but it is easier to open the wallet.

Ahhh... yes I do plan on a couple more snakes. a Pied and maybe an Albino.

And I will be selling the AP at a good price so if anyone is local and interested ....I will post an ad on here once I have a rack.

Doesnt sound lame at all. I've worked in a cabinet shop all my life. I've also been involved in quite a bit of building and remodeling too, so I can see where you're coming from. To someone in a different line of work woodworking as a hobby can be fun and relaxing, but to someone who does it every day, its a little different. I dont work full time since im still going to school but if I did, i dont think id be wanting to build much during my free time either.
Although, since i am still in school and only working part time, paying up isnt much of an option for me, so i do the work my self cause I've got to :P .

I currently have an animal plastics cage which is great but I am not overwhelmed w/ their racks.

Thanks for the for the feed back, Christie :)
I will more than likely order tomorrow. I am in no hurry. Been trying to call and get a voice mail but it says their are 6 people who share it and you need to know their code number to get in to the right mailbox.

Re: So I finally cave and am switching to a rack
Oh how did I miss a thread about my racks. Yes, I do have that rack plus another one. Yes, you do have to wait a considerable amount of time. Mine was a week or two later than I thought, but I wasn't in a terrible hurry so it was ok with me. Don't bother with email, as I never got a reply back. I always called him and he returned my call within a couple hours. I love the two racks. They are lightweight enough that I carried them upstairs by myself. *grrrr - flexing muscles* And have been wonderful. I have been looking at the herpenclosures as well. Anyway, I've been happy with mine if that's any help. Any questions, just let me know. :D
