Just ordered my cage!

So excited! I am on my way now :)
hoping to have my setup tested and go BP shopping by Xmas :D

all I need now is a thermostat and some decor :carrot:

I went with the black.

waiting won't be too hard since I have a bunch of business travel coming up. Wouldn't want to have it any sooner since I won't be able to fill it until I knew I would be home to take care of any new animals

This setup will be for a ball python, and from there I hope to be adding a couple arboreal snake setups after a year or so. Maybe add a couple of boas much later if I have indeed lost my mind with this hobby as I did with fish :rolleye2:

interesting thing about the boaphile cages...I called to ask if the 422D (48" long with single door) was strong enough to support two 24" arboreal cages on top. Good thing I asked because the answer to that was NO. You can stack as many 48" cages as you want, but not put two shorter tanks on top of a long one.
The answer to the problem was to buy a 'coupe' cage, which has two doors with a center rib. that design adds a lot of strength to the center of the cage so I can mix and match what I put on top of it.

I am very pleased, since the two door design seems to have a few advantages in my mind...less heat loss during access, less open area to manage when you open the cage on a faster type snake...ya know?

they have a good reputation, and I thought their website was the most informative out there of all the vendors. When I called they were very helpful.

I have heard that the wait is long, but the peace of mind I got dealing with them makes it well worth the wait.

and truthfully, I am fairly obnoxious when shopping. I went and found the original manufacturers of the lights and stuff you can order with the cage, and found that the markup Boaphile plastics charged INCLUDING INSTALLATION was almost nothing. So I just ordered a cage with everything installed :)

I am pretty impressed with their website too. I'd be interested in your opinion when you get the cage in, with pictures if you could. I have an AP for my ball but I have a corn and king in glass tanks right now and would like to upgrade and would consider other options. I'll be watching this thread closely.

I have seen a million rave reviews for their cages on other snake forums...if you want to get a jump on opinions you could check around and you should have no problem finding discussions about people's experiences.
