oh he's sooooo darned cute! my hubby would love a nice big bird like that... i make him stay with cockatiels, and our budgies, canaries and parrotlet... poor guy... he wants a big bird and won't ever get one cause he'll never have enough time for one!

Oh they are both gorgeous and so beautifully feathered! Do both Jack and Larry talk a lot? I grew up with a local pet store that was famous for it's Mynah, Soc, who knew a lot of words (sometimes I swear that bird understood which words to use to get a desired result! LOL)

yep they both talk jack dosent say as much as larry thou but jack has a much clearer voice

Larry has just learnt to say "hello my names Michael Caine" LOL
he has said it in a cockney accent a couple times now aswell lol he has this mad laugh aswell :D
larry also say "night night" ,"whats up!" "whats up larry" "he also bobs his head up and down when i put music on and says "dance" lol he also says "chad...go on , bad boy chad" lol (chad is my dog)
hes says quite a few other things aswell that i cant remember off hand

Jack say "hello" asks if your "Alright?" shouts WOW and does some weird jungle sounds , he also without fail will say "NO" if anyone here asks a question lol

Nice birds! They are so much fun except when they are shrieking for no apparent reason. I have heard Greys are much quieter than most parrots. Is it true?

Aren't Greys considered the smartest of all parrots. I remember watching a show on the Discovery Network about this Grey being studied at a university and it just blew me away how this bird could understand concepts of color, shape, construction material of certain objects (wood versus felt for instance).

So far larry has not let out a single shriek , he can be loud at times when laughing etc but it isnt ear pearcing , , i have heard this about greys being quieter too , and so far larry seems to be proving this :)

yup that grey you are talking about is callled Alex he is amazing
ive heard that there trying to learn alex to read now! , recent studies seem to think that african greys seem to have the intelligence of a 13 year old and the emotions of a 4/5 year old

    heres a link on alex - http://www.alexfoundation.org/
