Slammed finger!!

It is hurting to type to you guys/gals right now; I majorly slammed my right index finger in the truck door this morning! It was my own darned fault; not quick enough and was distracted by things; I felt fine.. then sat at my cubicle.. called one or two people.. and blacked out! Must have been from the pain; I relaxed in the break area for 15 mins and was back to work; it did/does hurt to type and dial the phone, but oh well; most of the blood is trapped under my nail, which I hope I don't lose.

Ummm, do you think you should see a doc if you passed out? :( That's spooky girl! But kudos for staying at work! My friend had alot of blood under her nail (simular accident) and she bored a hole into it to "relieve the pressure"... Not sugesting that you do that... My luck your finger would drop off & that would SUCK! lol :oops:

I to did this to my middle finger...my fault too. It didnt help that the door was locked and had to fish for the keys :(
The pressure was so bad after a few days I ended up putting a hole through the nail to let out the fluid...god did that feel 100% better...then the nail fell off and took forever to grow back...I can tell its diffrent but no one else can unless your looking for it.

Ouch!:eek: thats gotta hurt, I've dislocated both my thumbs about six times this football season and hearing your story sounds much more painfull. Hope it heals quickly

Same thing happened to me just the other day ... although it was a stuck window, not a truck door ... damn those aritificial cold fronts!!! :P

Must be the week for slamming fingers...

I slammed the fingertip of my middle finger of my right hand between my desk and my chair earlier this week, after catching the same finger in between a couple doors on accident the week before...

It still bothers me a bit to use the scroll wheel on the mouse, but otherwise it's fine. No nail blackening here though.

I have dislocated and broke both of my thumbs playing baseball... My thumbs are kinda funky shaped..lol...

Ouch! I hope your finger feels better. Around 5 years ago or so I caught my thumb with a hammer so badly that the skin split on the side of my thumb. I wound up losing the nail later on, but I had to bore a hole in it to relieve the pressure before that happened.:(

My Dad did something like that to....he was a carpenter so it happend ever so often....but the one I remember was when he hit it and actually split the skin....it was like something I have never seen before...it seemed like everything that was once under the skin can bursting out....gross..

I have shot a brad nail through my finger with a nail gun before. Also had a wood staple shoot up into the middle of my palm. Those are the fun carpentry accidents. That doesnt even count the incident where the roof fell and i was thrown into the yard.
