    Albino and a Surprise!
As I had a special request to post some pics of these, here they are!!
First, my albino male. He is an 05 produced by Bob Clark and acquired thru my buddy Cue!
The second is the albino and my little special girl! I produced this hypermel last year from a 100% het for pied male to one of my normal girls.
And last, a belly shot of her. I would have tried for some better shots but she was way too squirmy!! :carrot: :carrot:

    Wow, nice, Mike!
I'm not sure what a hypermel is, or why it came from a het pied? Every time I think I have a handle on this stuff, I find out I don't, lol.

Sarah, hypermel is short for hypermelanistic. It just means an increase in the amount of black pigment as compared to a hypo that has a reduction in black pigment.
Why it came from a het pied to normal pairing is anybodies guess. From what I have read, the hypermels have no genetic predictability. She has a clear belly and nice flames on the sides; I am hoping she is genetic!!:carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

Thanks for that explanation, Mike! Makes sense to me, now. It will be interesting to see what happens with her!

Very nice looking animal Mike. Keep us up-to-date on her progress, and any offspring that she may produse. By the way, are you planning on breeding her back to dad?

Tim, I don't have the dad anymore as he was on breeding loan to me. I would like to breed her to a homo pied first to see if she is a definite het or not.
Although, I think she could help to make some killer albinos!!!

Great looking snakes! I love the hypermel. I would definately be breeding that parent pair together again to see if anything is lurking around ;)

So if you breed a hypermel to an albino it will have a lot of yellow, right?
So could we make a butterball 100% yellow?
    mmmm, buttery...

What a perfect pair LOL. My hubby Mike is crazy about the hypermels and all the darker morphs and I'm nuts about albinos and all the lighter morphs...so finally both in one thread! Beautiful snakes Mike...congrats on having them as a part of your collection and breeding group.
