Paper towels rock.

I moved my kids over to tub enclosures and am now using paper towels. Just wanted to write how much easier it is to maintain their set ups like this. I don't have any more humidity issues, in fact my humidity gauge is a good way to know when I have to clean, 80% means "hey I just went potty"

Now thats a breeze too, remove paper towels, clean, add new paper towels. Sure beats the hell out of trying to scoop out all the aspen, scoop in all the new aspen, and clean up all the aspen thats dropped on the floor.

Paper towels also make the enclosure much easier to heat as the aspen was acting like an insulator between the flexwat and tub.

Fed-Ex just got here with my pastel as I was typing. Look for pictures!

Newspaper will give you all the same effects and might be a little safer depending on the size of the snake ... hatchlings are fine on paper towels, but I have seen older animals actually ingest paper towels that were used as bedding.

i tried them before, the cool blue ones from pepboys, looked great untill my snake thought there was another rodent in the tub and started eating the papertowls, lol.

Where do you all buy unprinted newspaper, I was going to use it but couldn't figure out where to buy the plain brown stuff.

i use the normal printed kind, no problems noted.

Yea and if you get like two tubs for each snake. When they poop you just take that tout the dirty tub put another clean one in and your good to go.

I use plain newspaper and out of date phone books.........free and simple.

Yup, it works fine!!

I switched to unprinted because I hated getting the newspaper ink on the albinos ... I can't even imagine what it does to white snakes! :P

it was a purdy one, but to bad it was from a vendor i will not work with anymore. but in the future i will have one of them, got a list of ones i want to get first. i will be keeping an eye out 8ball ;)

I heart paper towels. My corns were on aspen...ugh so much problems..so hard to find poop ...not to mention i had to take them out to fewed them. But paper towels rock!!:carrot:

i like paper towels as well, easy to clean.
