Yeah I own an Alexi Laiho flying V. I actually love how V's sit in my lap. Funny thing is I can't stand strat style bodies. Most people think I'm weird, but I feel so awkward with them.

I want it, but after tax and the case is seperate (ream) its gonna be like 1050.00 or so. I have my eye on the Jeff Hanneman guitar though. I can get that for 750.00 and its with EMG's a real Floyd Rose and neck through.

That's cool. I'm still playing on my Fender Squire. I think I need to upgrade soon.

Get an LTD. Seriously for what they come with, they are hands down the best bang for the buck. For 500.00 you can get a LP bodied EMG-81 with grover tuners and neck through guitar. Anyone else woulda been about 800.00

You know where I could see a pic of one. Does Guitar Center carry them. Looking in the 500-600 range. Really need a new guitar. Love playing great 80's rock. Can't go wrong with some Def Leppard and AC/DC. Hell even Danzig.

I work at a guitar store, and I HIGHLY suggest to play the guitar in person. Each guitar plays in its own way, plus you could get one that sounds like crap.

Buy it! Awesome.. My man used a Jackson for years and he Loved that thing; he only sold it to buy a crappy truck we needed years ago and he sadly misses it.. not to mention the ultra-cool pentagrams.. I showed the pic and he said "buy it" lol.
I played a model very similar to that one, back when my friend was in a band; it was like playing butter.. really nice. But I do agree; test-drive any guitar before buying.

Yeah, it was an old Nissan pickup; the "Honk if Parts Fall Off" type, lol. But it served us well through a few winters; only died when we rear-ended an old person that had stopped in the middle of the lane in a whiteout storm.. sad.

We should start a guitar thread too.. anyone know about older Gretsch models? I think I have one; has the label on the headstock but I wonder if it's a fake as I have never seen one like this before; f-holes, acoustic hollow body; I'll post a pic tomorrow!

I deciced to hold out for a regular Rhoads, or King V. I played the guitar again, I need something with a Floyd Rose. It wouldn't stay in tune and I couldnt get an idea of what it would set up like with the huge strings it had on it. I still wouldn't mind a Kelly either. But with Jackson you are partially buying the name too. Sucks big time.

Yeah I'd like to see a pic of it. I work at a vintage guitar store and we deal with rare instruments. Ugh, we just got a HUGE shipment of 130+ vintage guitars and I have to ship out 65 of them starting tomorrow. Not gonna be fun.
