 I'm sooooooooooo confused....Jinx is considered amel???? Aaaaand the new one, too? Jinx looks more like a bloodred and then the newest family member being amel.
What am I missing here????? ....Granted, I'm still learning, but sheesh!
When Jinx was a baby he was a pinkish color with red and tiny little white rings but since he has grown they are just about all the way gone. He is 99.9% orange & red now. A lot of people mistake him as a sunglow corn snake.
Rudy is also an amel.
Right now his back and towards his tail is still a pinkish color, his face & sides have orange coming in on them. He has a bite more white on him then Jinx ever had, so maybe he will keep his white. Time will only tell.

Re: Jinx
Well whatever Jinx is he's gorgeous and seems to be just getting better and better as he matures!
I thought sunglows were just selectivly bred amels that had very little white? Are they not?

According to Kathy Love's The Corn Snake Manual, yes, they are. They originally called them a 'no-white albino', but then changed the name to 'sunglow'.
It looks like Jinx is maturing into a sunglow! He's lovely, Allison.
