Big Stripe

Hey everyone... I'm new here. Figured I'd start by showing off my newest addition (she'll be arriving this week), my very first blood python.

I've kept boas and pythons for years, and though I've always wanted a black blood, I just never got around to getting one. This girl really caught my eye last night (I love that solid stripe), and I got a fair deal, so I had to go for it. She'll be a keeper. I'm way too excited. I plan on finding a black headed male and turning this into my first python breeding project.

That's an eyecatcher of a blood python, and I agree with you that her black back is killer. Feel free to share pictures anytime!

Thanks for the comments! I'll post more pictures after I get her, and after she's had a day or two to settle in. I'm guessing she'll be a little agressive, but I like 'em fiesty. :D

Nice black blood. Good look finding a black headed male, they're a tad harder to find :D

Thanks! And yes the black headed bloods are very hard to find. I came across a few earlier this month, but the asking price was ridiculous. I try not to look too hard. Usually my snakes have a way of finding me. ;)

We're looking for a female black and have been for a while - next (dim) hope is the AllOH show on the 11th!
