Good video. Egg eating snakes are one of my favorites. If I had a ready supply of quail eggs, they would definately be on my 'I want to keep' list.

Here is an old thread with a link to the same vid on a more family friendly site, along with some other info on them.

I must have missed something;' then again, I don't have the sound on, and forwarded through the last part; but I love when they spit out the shell; their face seems to be saying "yay!"
My man's daughter once asked me if snakes laid their eggs out of their mouth, she must have seen a pic of that.

Now that is cool :sunny: I know just where I can get a ready supply of quail eggs - but - shouldn't they be fertilized? Quail eggs are one of the recommended "other foods" for monitors and they're supposed to be fertilized ones.

Egg-eaters are cool! I used to have one several years back. It was the coolest thing to watch eat!!:D

What is really neat is when they rub their scales together, much like a saw - scaled viper! :carrot: :carrot:

The pair of egg eaters the guys at my local reptile owns just use standard quail eggs dont think there fertilized he gets them most of the time from a quail breeder but if he cant get them from him , he just goes to sainsburys or Marks and sparks never had a problem in the 6 years hes had em :)
