    FedEx?
Hi. I am setting up my package to get certified through FedEx. WHat should I put on the package? Do I have to put Python Regius or something? Also when I ship the test package do I use their account or what do I do about that? Also I got a 24 hour heat pack since thats the highest my local store had, would that be fine? Also after I send the test package what else do I have to do? Thank you.

I've called them four time's to get certified good luck. Their customer service is terrible I'm going to try again. I'm pretty sure they set up a test run for your package which they ship at no charge then if you pass they certify you.

Andre, this is exactly what i did to my box.I placed the containers i use for shipping the reptiles in inside the box, make sure to tape the lids for extra security. Then i packed newspapers around the containers for extra cushion. Now you have to use boxes that are like the ones from , www.SuperiorEnterprise.com .They have styrofoam inside the boxes. If you do not use these exact boxes, you have to have a box that does have the styrofoam inside and it must be like the boxes that you will use to ship when you really ship reptiles. One question for you,do they know you are a minor? I am not sure if they will approve a certification for a minor.Let me know if you need anymore help.

Emilio, you can not get certified by just calling them. You need to ask to talk to a rep from your area.

I have to wait for my funds to get to my paypal account so I can get an account with FedEx. Do you have to be 18 or over? Also is a 24 hour heatpack good?

Call Fedex and ask for you local rep. I don't think anyone here has delt with trying to get certified being under 18. Your fedex rep should be able to answer all the fedex related questions. As for the heat pad it all depends on the temp at the time your wanting to ship. if your shipping to Millwaukee WI in the dead of winter then yea a heat pad is good! If your sending your sending to me in the heat of summer them no a heat pad is bad. All things you'll need to plan as you ship.

    hope this helps

Why do you have to wait for funds to get to your paypal account. When i shipped my test package to there Memphis TN testing building they paid for the shipping the box to them and when it was returned to me.Do not waste the heatpack by opening it,just tape it to the inside top of the inner box and thats good enough. Now as far as the age you need to speak to them directly about that.Since you are a minor you are to young to enter in a binding contract legally. This is concidered a contract.Let us know what they say.Be honest with them or when they do catch that you are a minor they will cancel your contract in a blink of a eye for lying to them.

I have to wait for the funds to get to my paypal account from my bank so I can open an account with my paypal debit card but they take $10 off to make sure it works and then they put it back on.

Who takes $10 then puts it back?? I have never heard of this ever happening if its FEDEX that does this.Someone is lieing to you.If they do set you up for shipping thru them ,and the account number you give them to pay the bill with does not exist they send you a bill in the mail. Then they will ask you why your bank account does not exist. When i first started shipping they had one number wrong on my account so the bill was not paid then.I got a bill in the mail and had the mistake corrected.

I bypassed speaking to my rep in the 1st place, and sent my test package in on my dime - The results were e-mailed back to me along with a copy to the sales rep - The test evaluation report will identify your sales rep along with their number - So it's not absolutely neccessary that you speak to your sales rep 1st - They do infact "now anyways" debit your account to make sure it valid, and the charges wil be reversed shortly thereafter...

OK thats weird about the money,i guess it saves time though. How can you bypass speaking to your area rep and just send in your test box? I was given papers to fill out that went with my test box.

Fed ex took out three ten dollar payments from my credit card to verify it then the put it back in. They did charge my card for the shipping of the test package 42.00 but they are refunding my card because it was a mistake.

Did you send you test package via overnight delivery?...I paid for my test package out of my pocket and sent it via Ground. it was like 4 bucks. It took a bit longer, but I got certified nonetheless!!

    Re: FedEx?
no they said to ship it two day air and that is free. They charged me by mistake. Also the guy David Arbeit from fed ex package development that does the testing told me to include an old heat pack and a gel cold pack and a note explaining that they will be used depending on the temperature. Tape the container that the reptile will be shipped in and mark the top of the container live harmless reptile incase the package is opened. Pack the inside of the box with some sort of packing material around the container. He also said tape the top of the box 3 times with packing tape and on the top edges too 3 times. Put the package testing application on the outside of the shipping box being tested and then put that box inside another box and label the other box "overbox". After you get the results then your area rep contacts the legal department and then you sign the waiver saying that you will only be shipping business to business and fex ex isn't liable for your shipments.
