HOTS arent for everyone.......however there are some really cool ones out there!

Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
Yeah I agree, they are not for everyone...
I would not ever own one b/c of the risk involved, mostly cause I have kids...
But boy I sure like seeing pics of them!

Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
Nice pics/snakes; not the type that I am used to seeing!
I am just curious; how do you cage them? Are they in tanks, tubs, or something else?
-
Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
I custom build HOT enclosures......however mine are out on loans......LOL.....so I keep mine in HOT approved enclosures..........like the Timber is in a 2 foot Neodesha. All are locked and secure. The smaller ones are in lockable tanks.

Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
you know i dont think i would ever keep venomous snakes.it's just to big of a risk of me being bitten.i would but i dont feel comfortable having rattlensnakes in my home.
-
Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
Thats good. They do not make good pets. Mine are for breeding purposes.

i also dont consider mine pets. ive just been asked to provide a couple of viles of monacled venom so it all just went from there on. luckily for me i got superb training from a friend of mine with nearly every african/asian species you can think of. basicle all i work with now is spectacleds(sp?) and monacleds :)

Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
Wow those timbers are awsome, do you need another permit just for those?
-
Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
Awesome pics, and gorgeous snakes, Richard!

Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
Great pics that sidewinder is sweet.

Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
Thanks everyone!
I have a state issued license to keep and breed them. The Timbers are covered under my license.

Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
Cool! But working w/the sidewinder and the diamondback in college was enough hot experience for me. Beautiful snakes, but I probably wouldn't own one.
IF I chose one, it'd be a smaller one.
Very pretty though.

Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
NICE TIMBERS.... pygmys r cool too. i just ran into the most beautful yellow phase timber i'd had ever seen behind my house about a week ago. i went back home to get my dig cam but it was gone.....now i carry my cam with me, i'll get git em. lol nice pics though...,makes me miss my southerns.(copperheads)...

Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
Those timbers are KILLER no pun intended..lol Seriously nothing in herpetoculture is as visually stimulating a sweet venomous collection. Nice
kept in a legal and safe manor of course:)

Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
I bet the Pygmy is the most aggressive of them all, Napoleon complex those little guys seem to have,
-
Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
The sidewinder pic is so cute w/ him partially covered in sand. Very cool!
-
Re: Few of my HOTs *DU*
