I've been on the lookout for a similar fridge...working or non working...I intend on making it my first incubator as well...

So, for all of us who want to do the "fridge to incubator" thing, could you give us some details on the steps you took to convert it? post some suggestions or even a DIY..that would be very helpful.

Use the search feature on the site, there is a thread somewhere around here detailing turning a freezer/refridgerator into an incubator.

I know jeanne, but it's for a very large fridge, one that you would use in a kitchen...not for a dorm fridge :(

Thanks Aric, but I'm in an apartment and space is limited....if you can keep that offer open for about 10 more years (when i have my own house) i'll give you a holler! LOL

I would think that changing a smaller fridge over to an incubator will not be much different than a large fridge... just less heat tape if thats what you are using...

Yeah i'm in the same place as all of ya....i'm tight on space...plus i'll only be having a couple of cluthes this next few years so it works. and plus when i get more clutches i'll get a bigger fridge...but i'm going to keep this one you never know when you might need it.

i've got the whole plan laid out in my head i just need to do it....the best part is that it's not going to cost me an arm and a leg like some of those really nice fancy ones that i want.
