need PAM now.. please advise.

I need some Preventamite urgently; I ordered it from a company but they never processed my order or answered my subsequent inquiring email.. where is the quickest place to order it from..

It might be a long shot but call around to any reptile only shops in your area and see if they carry it.

Buying from the source sounds good! I know LLLReptile also carry it...although it says on their website they can't ship PAM to New York state...hmmm.

in the meantime are you keeping them comfortable? removing mites, giving a water bowl large enough to soak in, cleaning tank and using newspaper as a substrate? You cant prevent them from returning without the pam, but atleast you can kill the ones that are there now.

I may get negative rep for this but some people use Sevin-5 in a bind to kill off mites. Its even recommended on the label for dogs and cats and their sleeping quarters. Also mineral oil is another option besides PAM. Theres also Repel Permanone (same active ingredient in PAM...Permethrin..same strength) which is available at Walmart. But every option must be applied properly...just as with PAM.

Good Luck in the meantime...I am sure the PAM will arrive shortly.

Lots of things are written on labels; that doesn't make them safe. I saw a dog once with Sevin dust caked all over it's wet coat. We wound up euthanizing because the owner couldn't afford the treatment necessary to save it. A $16 tube of Frontline would have prevented the problem, but he found the Sevin on the shelf in the barn and it was free...

If it came down Sevin or waiting, I'd wait for the good stuff to get here.

sounds like neglect/abuse...as opposed to Sevin-5, itself being dangerous. Any product can be misused, including Provent-a-mite.

btw...you saw a dog once, and then we ended up euthanizing it? So you caught a dog? or saw a dog? or someone brought a dog to you? in this condition? And you euthanized it? sorry if I am unfamiliar with your occupation/history, etc.
