The SPCA called me

Our local SPCA called me today cause they needed help with a snake rescue. Acually they couldn't even do the call themselves. Just by word of mouth they heard I had snakes so they looked me up and called and asked if I would be interested in going on a call for them. Of coarse I didn't turn them down. The call was from a lady who said a snake fell out of a tree and climbed into her cars engine. I got there and there it was stuffed tightly in between the engine and the transmission. Well after about 45 min of poking and a couple squirts of water the snake finally gave up and came out. It turned out to be a 4ft Texas Rat Snake. Man I was so freakin excited about this. Not that I caught the darn thing, but that the SPCA called me to do a call for them. With all the excitement I forgot to take a picture before releasing him back into the woods. Now that the SPCA knows who I am now I'm sure to get more snake calls from them in the future cause they said they hate going on snake calls. Man what a great day. I feel good.

That is SO awesome! What a great feeling that must be!


I am truly looking forward to the day when I can do snake rescues and stuff!

good for you... just for the record... i never want to be called... but i'm thrilled that you were!

Oh that is excellent. Perhaps you can encourage them to do some in service on snakes if they are that reluctant to go on snake calls (you can't always be available). Glad to hear the snake is back where it should be, good job!

LUCKY i wish the SPCA would call me to do things like that. guess i'll just have to network and make some calls to see if i can be called. oh well

You might want to put my name down on the SPCAs list alwso ...just incase they are down here.....Ive done a few sanek rescues at my school....

Youll probly pee your pants...lol....<My dad said i would pee my pants if i saw one ...i said yeah..from excitment!LOL!

well fortunately where i live... we don't have anything but some little garter snakes.

and yup, i'd freak out IF my hubby was there... if not... i'd be strong (cause i had to) LOL

Aleesha, I would really like to see that belly dance sometime!

hahahahaha well my class performs in parades and even dances for friends and family every couple of months. i haven't participated yet though... i need to really 'know' the dances first. it's so much fun though... *ching ching ching*
