The cheapest I've seen is $500, but you don't want to necessarily go with the cheapest...

The Sutherlands had a few listed when I got my male; but I think all the females were around the 800-and-up range; my male was in your price range.
BTW, nice to see ya kid!

I know someone here in florida that had told me $450 for a female pastel.

    I have never seen them though...so I don't know the quality ..

    Or if they even exist.

There are other forums and classifieds that list pastels at those prices, but be prepared for the following:

    (1) You never receive the snake and spent $500 on nothing.
    (2) You get the "pastel" but it's just a pretty normal.
    (3) It's a REALLY ugly pastel.

If you are willing to take that risk you'll find females for that price.

    Re: Pastel Females
well it was from a breeder with a private facility. he's about 30 minutes from where I'm at and told me I could stop by and check them out. I have no incredible feeling to look at them. As far as them existing the guy has them and they aren't just normals. I've seen the animals he had at the show and all were pretty. Maybe I'll have him shoot me an email of the pics of the females for $450 and then you can decide...you never know...I wouldn't say they are the best looking but they MAY not be the ugliest but who knows...I know someone selling ugly females for $600...I dunno. I'll have to get pics.

I wouldn't buy an ugly female for $450 just because it was $450.

Pretty girls make pretty babies. :)

I have my male pastel and i'll get some females thru breeding..

Steven, please stop posting pictures from other people's websites. You can use links to point to them, but not pictures. Thank you.

Do you have permission to post that picture of that pastel? If not, you will still need to take it down and point to the website it came from.

but at the same time I was also showing the quality of care that the animals have...Adam's looks like it is healthier and being fed like it should.

I apologize for not knowing about the picture rule...

You can use all the pictures you want to prove your point...you just have to link to the original picture, rather than post it outright.

If you PM me the original link, I'll replace the picture with it.

    Re: Pastel Females
I wasn't comparing quality of the animals just simply showing that who you buy from reflects how the animal may be taken care of...Adam seems to take good care of his animals and i was pointing that out.

I provide the absolute best of everything for all of my ball pythons, but I certainly wouldn't ever want to be compared to how other breeders "do it" ... It takes a tremendous amount of work and dedication to work with these animals on any type of scale and I have the utmost respect and admiration for anyone that is producing and selling quality animals.

I personally would rather buy a snake that I know has eaten a good number of times.

I see that and i respect that adam...I have respect for other breeders/resellers as well and i apologize for using your picture without permission.

I guess I was just trying to support the get what you pay for idea and that you pay more for the quality of animal and the kind of care that it had received. Such as an animal that eats and does it very well.
