    thanks just got my first royal this week so just setteling him in....just hope the feeding goes ok,not overly worried if he refuses first week !!

    Check out the caresheet....Good stuff there! And if he's new to your family, be sure to give your new royal a week alone for settling and destressing. No handling or feeding. Just fresh water and cleaning to give him a chance to overcome the move... :)

    Then, no handling for 48 hrs after feeding, to minimize the possibility of regurging.

    Welcome to BPNet! I'm part scots myself (grannie who raised me was from Greenock so we have tons of relatives in the Glasgow area). Glad you've joined us and are entering into the wonderous world of ball/royal python keeping.     Definitely - this is the best ever place for BP talk - I went to another UK based one a few weeks ago - some people there want to put TWO BPs in a 3 FOOT viv *shakes head sadly* - and they won't be told ...

    And don't worry about him/her not feeding first week - mine didn't.

    amazingly my bp ate first time of offering exactly a week after i brought him home :carrot: was really supprised at this he was fed last friday so thought i would offer up a meal see what happened and bingo he ate it within seconds of offering :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: hope this continues!! will post picture asap....just been busy with work and the likes...thanks again for all your welcomes!!!!
