Its an option that can be turned on in vbulletin but I understand the reason for not enabling it.

We can turn it on or just the admins?

Many people sign their names along with their rep hits. If they decline to do so, then it is not visible to you. If you feel someone has hit you unfairly feel free to bring it to a mod or admin.

Considering your comments on the other thread, I would guess you got hit with some neg rep. Please remember that revenege hits are against TOS.

You got it man! I always do it, positive or negative. If you have the balls to neg rep someone, at least put your name in (hint hint, you know who you are)

K, here's my question... I'm not "forum savey" so this is all new to me:oops: Can you view other people's rep points? I've never noticed them... Or are the green dotts(?) what other people see on your page... ?

    Re: Reputation feedback?
it sure seems to me that people exercise negative feedback much more than they do positive...but I guess thats how life works. ;)

btw, how do you know when you get feedback? thx

    Re: Reputation feedback?
Laooda....the only way you can know another member's rep is to hover your cursor over their little green square and see what comment shows up. That comment gives you an idea of what range they are in...rep-wise. (There's a list of what's what in the Site Info forum)

Slithers....it may SEEM like that, but really, the only thing anyone ever talks about publically is neg hits...nobody ever comes on and says "Someone just gave me a positive rep and I don't think I really deserved it...." ;) I know for me personally, I give at least 10-15 positive hits for every negative I may have to give....and just browsing through reputation histories, positives outnumber the negatives by a LOT.

EDIT: You don't get any notice that you've recieved a rep comment...you just go to your UserCP and check if you're curious.

Im sure you are right...LOL. :)

Thanks for the info re: userCP. This is the only forum I use with feedback.

    Thanks again.

EDIT: Is there anyway to view your FULL history? or will it ONLY show the most recent feedback?

Trust me, it takes ALOT to get anyone to use the system anyway. I dont see the point myself.....I guess I do a little. But somethings I find really good and I forget to give that person reputation points for it. And vise versa. I find myself going back days after the fact and giving them out, I dont think it's that important to most people...who knows. Now I'm not saying I dont love a good reputation point every now and again :)

I admit I was one. Because I felt you were rude in swearing Andre... I usually don't put my name on reps, pos or negative...

I never use the rep system either...on any forum. When the option is available I disable it. Like what would happen here if you could automatically see who gave you a neg rep point...what would you do? Call them out in the forum? Give them neg rep back? What's the point, real rep is gained by being active in the forum and helpfull to where people know you and your personality. Rep systems generally cause more grief than good in the forums I visit...and I won't implement such a system on the forums I run.

Is that one of the words on here that won't show up due to the censoring software? If the mods haven't included it, then I think that it's a misuse of the reputation system to neg someone just because they were personally offended. Negative reputation should only be used in cases where the person makes a blatant attack on someone or otherwise does something universally offensive. We don't want a community where everyone is 'typing' on eggshells, do we?
