    breeding question
okay, so i'm completely daft when it comes to this but...

if i purchase a lemon jungle female and breed her to a normal male... what do i get in the babies

    or

if i breed the lemon jungle female to a 100% het pied male... what do i get?

would it make a difference if i breed a 100% het female to a normal male?

trying to decide what to buy from adam!!!! cause folks... he can and will ship to canada so i am definitely getting some of his balls!!!!

    correct me if I'm wrong

    Jungel pastel x normal = 2 pastels 1 normal 1 66% het

lemon x het pied is the same as above except they would all be 50% or het for pied.

go one get you some of Adams Balls.. I have heard their quite impressive.. LOL :carrot:

okay so here's what i'm trying to figure out.

do i buy a 100% het pied female and a lemon pastel male?

or do i buy the het male and pastel female?

i have a normal male now...

or is it better to buy both het and pastel in female? and breed them to my normal male?

    i'm so freakin' confused :(

Hey Aleesha. Why not call him? He's absolutely wonderful, and will help you decide what is best for you. (Of course, have in mind what you are looking to produce and your budget. ;) )
(Sheesh... I reread that, and I feel like I'm pimping him out or something. Ugh, I cannot even believe I used that word. Ok, I've officially lost it! )

Hey my kids have to share their 'playroom'. Why do they need a playroom? They just take over every other room in the house..... :giggle:

So what would you like to see pipping out of those eggs? Pieds? Pastels? Try and make that decision first. Then check out costs and see if it's within your budget, or if you need to sell off a kid or two first. ;)

    Re: breeding question
definitely some pieds but also i'd love some lemon pastels too... which is why i am wondering if i buy both...

but the confusion is with the male... can my normal male breed with these fancy ones and still end up with morphs or do i need to breed morphs together?

(12 yr old boy for sale... not good at chores, hates doing laundry and whines a lot - but other than that... he's GREAT!!!!!!) LOL

    Trust me ... call Adam.

And I would get a Pastel Male, and a het pied pair ..... the additional male when buying a het female is a drop in the bucket. Then your het pair can produce a pied for you (eventually), and you can breed your pastel male to normals to make more pastels ....

If you breed a pastel to a 100% het, you will get pastels and normals, all 50% chance het for pied.

    Re: breeding question
if you want pieds, get the het female first and then breed her to a het male when she is ready.

or if you want a lemon pastel girl, go for her. personally a pastel girl i wouldn't breed to a normal male. at least a het male or another co-dom male.

what morph do you like the best?

    Re: breeding question
    i don't think i asked that well.

do i need to get a male and a female 100% het pied to produce pieds? or could i breed the het pied to the lemon pastel and have the possibility to end up with a lemon pied?

    Re: breeding question
my favorite morphs are both the lemons and the pieds... but the pieds are number one on the list.

he has male and female het pieds available... and he also has the lemons available.

You need a het male and a het female to have a chance at a pied.

To make a pastel pied, the"cheapest" way is a pastel/het pied bred to a het pied.

Lemon jungle female = codominant so you would get lemon pastel jungles

codominant + recessive you would get lemon jungle pastel 50% possible het pied.

Jeez I think I injured my brain on this one, hopefully if i'm wrong someone will be able to correct me.

    Good Luck

    OK! :D

Jungle pastel x normal is 50% jungle pastel and 50% normal. No hets (there is no het pastel, although pastel is the het for the Super Pastel).
