MySpace?

Juuuuust wondering... do any of you reptile breeders have a MySpace profile for your business, or thought about making one?

I have a personal profile that I use to keep up with local bands mostly, and I have seen a few various business profiles around. I was really just trying to think of a way to let the public know that there are other means of buying their reptile pets than pet stores that may not properly inform them about their animal.

i though about it but i don't really like myspace that much.

I'm not awfully fond of it either... or what people have made of it, but it definately has A LOT of traffic by almost every kind of person, so you could definately reach a lot of people.

I think there are a lot of features on there that any business could use to their advantage.

Never been there. Heard a lot from it. And I dont like those type of things.

No offense but I hate that place, never been and never will. A few days ago a guy in one of the surounding counties killed a couple people on his myspace friends list. Alot of bad thing have been going on around her through that place.

I think that it could be used in a better way than a lot of people use it...

Oh well, I think the answer to my initial question is a big no...

Definately...I've looked at it a time or two but I won't use it. I also see all the bad things that can come of it because I work in the schools and I'm sure just about everyone has heard of something bad coming from the way students using such sites. I'm the guy the students hate when they find a site like this is blocked from their internet access.

MySpace is a place created for adults that is now overrun by 13-17 year olds... I don't think starting a business profile would accomplish anything. (IMO)

lol im thinking of making my ball a myspace too.

I know botar by 8's does have a myspace for his business. I don't kow how if it works well or not but you're welcome to email him and ask ;)

I right now make contacttables for myspace and I make full layouts. it is fun to do but it takes a bit of work. :D

I need to change my backgrounds on both of my myspace pages because the backgrounds are old and wernt made by me.

I'm glad I found this thread.

I've actually been working on a myspace type site for strictly small businesses. For example, photographers, web designers, graphic designers, etc... I think it would be a great way to get your name out to people looking for that particular service.

I never even though about snake breeders, but they could also fall into the category.

Basically, it will have the same general idea as myspace. With a profile and general information and friends list and all that fun stuff. But instead of a personal pictures page, it would be a portfolio of past work, or in a snake breeders case, current snakes for sale.

It will have 2 different types of memberships so it doesn't get all congested. It will have a business owner membership and a general purpose membership for individuals to search for whatever they might be looking for.

I will hopefully be launching it within the next week or so. Does this appeal to any of you? If it does, I am open to suggestions.
