Your thoughts on "less known/kept" morphs?
I plan on buying another visible morph in the next year or so. I was convinced I wanted a spider, but honestly I want something that's a little rarer! I was thinking along the lines of maybe an orange ghost.. I don't know yet. I don't want to go over 2k. What are some ideas; can't think of much off the top of my head. I'd like something that'd create some neatness when bred to a pastel; the new snake would be female.
Re: Your thoughts on "less known/kept" morphs?
Cant go wrong with the female orange ghost, im sure you could find one for 2k if you looked hard enought. pastel ghosts are not to hard on the eyes. :)
Re: Your thoughts on "less known/kept" morphs?
I would say either Ghost or Axanthic.... (You said less known/kept)... Axanthics are WAY under-rated... and so are Ghosts/Hypos.... The combo potential is breathtaking!
Re: Your thoughts on "less known/kept" morphs?
in addition i think a super pastel x yellowbelly would rock?
vaughn
Re: Your thoughts on "less known/kept" morphs?
yes a female yellowbelly bred to your male pastel and you would instantly see pastel yellowbellies. then you would have some double co-doms to work with. :)

Those bubblegums/calicos are awesome! Gonna have to wait a few years to get one at that $2000 price tag though!
Out of curiosity, who was the breeder that had the bubblegum?
Steve
Re: Your thoughts on "less known/kept" morphs?
Michael Cole at Ballroom Pythons South had the bubblegum/calico at the Tampa show. I agree with Audrey, it was so awesome. :)
Re: Your thoughts on "less known/kept" morphs?
I don't think I'll be seeing any visable ghosts in the next year but I have an awesome 100% het ghost with awesome coloration and flames that I'll be breeding with a couple females in the next month or so. One of the females has some awesome color as well so hoping for some cool looking possible het babies in the near future. Need to get pics up of the new female now that she's shed.

Yes it was Mr. Cole, he only had 1 at the Tampa show and it was priced at 10K I believe. I have dreams about that snake I'm telling ya.

That bubblegum calico was sick!!!! I saw it at the show too...
Amazing snake...:)
Re: Your thoughts on "less known/kept" morphs?
How about a female Pinstripe? Lemon Blasts are awesome!
Thanks,
Celia

Yes it was...the snake of my dreams!
Re: Your thoughts on "less known/kept" morphs?
I think I sat there in front of that snake for like a minute or 2 with my jaw on the floor like OOOOOOOOoooooooooHHHHH! AAAAAaaaaaaaahhhhh!
But then again I was like that with the super pastels, Pieds, Albino's, spiders and bumble bee's.......
You can obviously tell I am very deprived of ball python morphs.
Now I have my lil' pastel and i feel great! It said male on its container and i'm not saying it isn't. I tried popping it which really isn't anything to rely on giving its age (05') didn't see any hemipenes. I'm going to get it probed to be sure. Only a couple bucks to find out. its worth it to me.
Re: Your thoughts on "less known/kept" morphs?
You may want to rethink about not getting a spider mate for your pastel.
These guys are very awesone and they get alot better than this one. :) https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil.../spiderman.JPG

I was doing the same thing, between you and I I'm sure that snake has a complex now lol.
Re: Your thoughts on "less known/kept" morphs?
Do any of you know how much a orange ghost male goes for that's what I'm eyeing as my next addition. And Jen I know their not rare but I don't remember any other morph taking over Bp.net like the spider's did yesterday. :colbert:
Re: Your thoughts on "less known/kept" morphs?
Ya, for me that was my first seeing all of those snakes...I was completely speechless in awe seeing a pied and a albino...I dont need to really go on you understand. Its just crazy having only owned normal's and seeing these animals online and then being up close and personal with them. I get a tingly feeling just looking at my pastel..lol (my first morph)
