    Pork Chops N' Corn Bread
    I made the mistake of getting.....
    my first Trantula. I know these are addicting so I guess I need to start saving room and deli cups for them lol Pics soon. It is a.....

    Hey congrats - just finished feeding mine some dubie's!

    Mine was about that size when I got it - it took pinhead crickets when I could get them - cricket legs when I could not - very solid feeder. I rehoused my sling pretty soon after I got him as it was in a pretty small vial and feed him about 5 days later.

    when they're only a quarter of an inch long it would be almost impossible to keep up with them otherwise, and also very hard for them to find food, etc...

    yup it true there BIG spiders , heres my Salmon pink, she is fully grown :) and over 10 years old :D

    We have to. Tarantulas have very poor eyesight, and depend on vibration of the prey moving to find it. If they are in a container that is a whole lot bigger than that, they could starve in a container that had crickets in it, if one didn't cross the spiders path.

    you can feed your slings twice a week... and once they are larger you can go to once a week. ;)

    i have about a dozen Ts - just looooooove watching them web up their enclosures and staring at their beauty....

    i do think i need more though... my collection needs to grOW :D

    Also, tarantulas in the wild don't move very far from their burrows. There are often burrows less than 5 feet away from each other, with one T per burrow in the wild.
