Why Evan at Black Lotus rocks.
Because when your tub order is delayed, he's nice enough to keep you nice and updated on your baby with some pics. Here's my boy I'll hopefully be able to have him soon. 3 sheds later I think he's looking mighty fine. What yall think?

Thanks Rich, but I really haven't minded keeping him around for so long, he's just so purdy https://ball-pythons.net/forums/imag...es/biggrin.gif . I wish all the pastels I produced this year were as good lookin' as him! https://ball-pythons.net/forums/imag..._sign00111.gif

I agree completely ... I have a very short list of breeders that I would ever buy anything from and Evan will always have a place on it ... he is the best of the best!

Sweet pastel! I love his head pattern. Looks like it connects around the back of the head, making an arrowhead pattern. Very nice!

First off, :welcome:Ken, and thanks! How's that little guy settling in? Have you made your master plan to approach the wife about a pastel yet? Just remember to act like an :floating: :D.

Adam, maybe one day I'll actually have something that you don't already have 5 of :sigh2:, but that really does mean a lot to me, thanks! :sunny:

Yeah, and it seems to be tied to the pastel gene somehow, because all the pastels from that clutch had this, but none of the normals....I always thought it looked like a jigsaw puzzle piecestickin out the back of the head. Here's a shot of his sister right after her first shed.

Anyway, thanks again everyone for all the kind words!

They're a lemon line of pastel. I'll let Evan post a picture of pops if he wants, he's a super-fine fellow himself.

Actually they're "THE" Lemon Pastel line ... there is only one true line of lemon pastels originated by Kevin McCurley at NERD ... a lot of other people "claim" to have lemon pastels, but unless their breeding stock can be traced back to the original and only NERD line of lemon pastels, they're just imitators.

That's why it's important to work with good breeders like Evan that can provide a background and lineage information with their animals.

When it comes to ball pythons, EVERYTHING I do is about the details. I live, eat, and breathe this stuff. I'd rather fail trying to be perfect than be successful at mediocrity. ;)

    Lemon's Rock!!!

Here is a pic of pop at one year old

    And at two years old
    http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f4.../lemonardo.jpg

After seeing A LOT ugly and lower grade pastels in Daytona and in classifieds online, I am so glad I had the foresight to spend the extra money to buy a lemon two years ago. Thanks again Adam!

Not a bad philosophy to live by, follow something like that myself. I'm sure I'll continue to do business with Evan in the future, but I also have to get me an 8ball at some point, its on the list of things to do.

    1. Take Over The World
    2. Put on underware
    3. Break piggy bank for 8ball spider
