I AM!!! Going to see Rob Zombie tomorrow, for the second time this year. For some dumb reason, he's not headlining...Godsmack is. WTF??? And Shinedown is opening. I could careless for Shinedown and Godsmack, but Rob Zombie puts on an awesome show. WOOOOOOOO!!!!

In two weeks, I'm gonna go see Mushroomhead, Soil, and Brand New Sin. ANOTHER AWESOME SHOW!!! WOOOOOOOO!!!

Yeah, I had a sheltered childhood, so I had to keep all my "devil music" to myself. Was never allowed to go to concerts til I was 18. My first concert was George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelics. I didn't know about the concert til about a half hour before it started. Then I moved to northern Japan, where nothing happens. Finally came back to the states, over the course of 2 years, I've seen Mudvayne, American Head Charge, Life of Agony, Bloodsimple, Rob Zombie, Lacuna Coil, Taproot, Evans Blue, 36 Crazyfists, From Satellite, Falling Closer, Korn, Stonesour, Deadsy, Deftones.... I will add Godsmack, Shinedown and a (x2) to Rob Zombie after tonight. Mushroomhead, Soil, and Brand New Sin, in two weeks.

But yes, I will let you know how it goes!

Yeah, Tool was here a few weeks ago. I would have been there, but I had to work at 0200 on Sunday morning. The concert was on Saturday night. It sucks being the only one who is qualified on my position.

That does suck... I worked that day and did a dinner presentation across town... So, long Sty short... We missed the opening band, and the first song...:( But it was still worth it!

Well, just got back from the concert. Someone in Shinedown got sick so they didn't play, which in my opinion, was good. It gave Rob Zombie more time to play. Rob Zombie put an awesome show. I thought he was good when I saw him in Detroit earlier this year. That show was inside, this one was outside. Way more pyro going at this show. He played a bunch of new stuff, a bunch of White Zombie, and everything in between. Godsmack was horrible. Their setup was cool, but everything else just sounded so bad. 10 minute bongo solo.... Are you serious?!?!? "Hey! I have an idea for our shows, lets take all our songs, and halfway through them, just repeat the same couple of notes to make them sound longer...." BRILLIANT!!! Apparently the lead singer was sick, but he tried to play/sing anyways. He should have stayed on the bus and let Zombie play for like 3 hours. That would have been a much better show. Tickets should have been a lot cheaper for that. $25 a ticket?!?!? a quarter of a mile away from the stage?!?!?! for 2 bands?!?!? from 8pm-11pm, with a half hour setup between the bands?!?!? I paid $10 a ticket for the Family Values Tour. That was like 8 bands or so, and it lasted from 2pm til almost midnight.

Somewhat dissapointed, but hey, I would have just played video games all night if didn't go.

:rockon:Keep on rockin' in the free world:rockon:

Shaffer, you saw Lacuna Coil? How was that? You might like Ministry, if you haven't heard of em. I've pretty much given up on mainstream. Rob Zombie opening for Godsmack?!? Nuff said. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing Ani DiFranco in Austin in a few weeks. Yeah, yeah, prolly not something you guys like, but she rocks. :D

Yeah, Lacuna Coil was pretty good. I don't know her name, but their lead singer is gorgeous. I wasn't sure if I was going up until about a week before the show, so I had pretty crappy seats. While my friends seats on the main floor. I had to sneak on to the main floor so I could mosh when Zombie came on.

    I like Ministry as well!!

Yeah she is gorgeous. Lol, not as cute as me tho. ;) Her name is Christina Scabbia. *Grin* I love finding other music heads. So which Ministry album is your fave? It's a tough one, but I've got to say mine's Animositisomnia.

I couldn't name any of the albums they've done. I just remember my friend Alan playing a compilation CD he put together with a bunch of their songs on it.

I always find it funny when a band who opens up for the headliner is better then the headliner. I saw Arch Enemy with Shadows Fall back in 2002 and Shadows Fall opened up and killed Arch Enemy.

That's how Slayer was; they opened for Slipknot. I like them too, but Slayer is old-school metal; for some reason they beat the pants off most bands IMO.

I forgot to add Hootie and the Blowfish and Everclear to the list. I saw them when they did their tour with the USO show in Japan. I actually met Hootie and the Blowfish when they came through. They visited us while we were searching vehicles coming on base. I had my picture taken with Hootie, but the person who took it had their finger over the lense...BOOOO!!!

    Here's the pic.

I don't consider myself a fan at all, but come on, how many chances do you get to have your pic taken with Hootie?

Hah cool! That's my wife's favorite band (not sure if Opeth is above or below them for her). She's dragged us all to suffer several fests to see them. Cool to know!

I saw Zombie play with Judas Priest and Anthrax last year in L.A. (the only show they did with the two bands). I could have gone this past Saturday in Irvine but I wasn't interested. I am however gonna see KMFDM and Combichrist on the 24th. http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/7474/rockoneo4.gif

Ok, so I don't know if anybody will know who I'm talking about, but what about Buckethead? He's a phenomenal guitarist, mostly metal. I get to see him live in a few weeks. Goin to see Combichrist and KMFDM in two weeks too. Life is good. :D

Woot! It always makes me happy to hear ppl recognize him. He's so underappreciated. He can freakin shred a guitar, man! I just picked up one of his new EPs called Dreamatorium. It's by Death Cube K which is actually an anagram for Buckethead. It's pretty much creepy minimalist stuff. I highly recommend it for dark, lonely stretches of road at night. :D

Hehehe, yeah this'll actually be my first time seeing KMFDM live. I'm freakin stoked about it. Their latest album is WWIII. I really like it! They have a new female vocalist on it and she suits their sound really well. I highly recommend it.
