What do you use for a water dish?
Kona (my 4 1/2 ft female) upends her water dish (a heavy dog bowl) every other day. I'm so tired of doing a major cleaning with each flood! The dog dish works fine for Ramona---but she's lighter and less active.

Any ideas for something that will stay put?

What kind of dog bowl. They make them that are cone shaped and are real hard to tip over.

    Here check this out

That looks great---Kona's is just flat on the bottom, with a little lip near the top---she slides it until it's against the hide and the up-ends it. I think I'll buy one of those today!

4" pvc coupler from home depot and a 16oz disposable deli cup inside it. Works perfectly!

Jamie, Adam only said the snakes say so that they're tip proof. He didn't say they told him WHY they were tip proof. It probly IS magic.

Re: What do you use for a water dish?
I use heavy ceramic bowls or exoterra bowls for most of my ball pythons and my smaller short tail. I've got a few snakes that are using the deli cups in the freedom breeder style hides, but the IJCP's are currently knocking them over, so I'm going to pick up something different. I use a cat litter pan for my black blood, but she tips it over occasionally and hides underneath it. (even though she's got another hide in her bin.)

I'd like to find a heavier water bowl for my adult black blood, but I'd still like to have one big enough that she can soak in, any suggestions?

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I'll check out that site Adam but my wife told me tonight there is a gordon food service store somewhat near where I work. I'm taking a venture out to find it on my lunch break tomorrow to see if they have any...not having to pay shipping would be cool. I'll probably pick some up even I end up going online next time...can't risk more messes!
