Do you think this is a good deal?
OK, a guy here has a melamime(spelling) rack for sale and i am not sure its worth what he is asking. Its a seven tub rack (41 or 42 quart size)with 11" flex watt installed allready all i need to do is plug it into my thermostate. Its large enough for adult ball pythons. He is asking $100 for it as is.I am not sure how long he used it.I have no idea how long flex watt will last or how much Melamine costs to just build one.I just do not want to buy a used one and have to spend more money to replace the flex watt right off the bat.I am on a tight budget as it is :(.So i come to ask my reptile internet family for your opinions:cool: .Thanks

    11" flex around 3 bucks a ft.

not a bad deal if everything is working and in decent shape.

it is about $100 for a 18 tub 30qt rack, 6high x 3wide, made out of that stuff, then add the cost of flex watt. for the size you are saying i would say that is not bad.

As heavy as that suckers gonna be, he should be paying you the $100 to take it off his hands ... ouch!

Now if he's going to deliver it ... it could be a deal! ;)

Cost vs. value vs. convenience, Joe. If U have to take a loan (interest?) and you can't unload it w/o RELIABLE help, it might not be worth it. On the other hand (can you say Reptevia (sp?)) if you need one right away and can work around the other issues, this one may be the deal you need.

    Lotsa help, huh????? :rolleye2:

Well i went to the Lowes here and priced the melimime and just for it would be $110  .Then the tubs would be $60 roughly. Then the flex watt(unsure on price) and then wait until i find a way to build it :( .I am getting the cash another route, and getting the rack tommorow :D .I will let everyone know how it goes.
