Is this a good deal?

OKay so I found this guy who wants to sell me a 300+ gram female for $550, he said that if I bought the female he would throw in a male of my choice (he has 3 diffrent ones) for $200 bucks.

We also found a couple wanting to sell there females for $375. They were in the mid to high 200 grams I think.

He would be better for us to get the cheaper female and that way there we would have some extra cash to set up a nice habitat. But at the same time I could do a 25% deposit on the male AND female as a hold and save up for a little while to get them a couple habitats.

And then theres the issue of the show coming up on Saturday that we are going to, I dont know if I would find a better deal then either of these there.

If you're talking about normal BP's then all those prices you just quoted sound quite inflated, if you ask me. I wouldn't be interested in any of those deals. But if you're talking about some other morph or species.... :confuzd:

Wow...that seems expensive to me!! You should check with ECLARK, I think I saw a post in the for sale section he was selling some under $100 or $200. I don't know I can't really remember......I'm not sure if they have been sold yet though!

I would not pay that money at all for those weights! I have seen 300 gram females (nice looking!) go for a 100 bucks a pop. And DEFINITELY would not pay $200 for any male that is not... very good looking... full grown... 100% healthy. IMO holding off and going to the show would be your best bet. G'luck!

EDIT: GEEZ! I was going to be the first poster... but by the time I finished 3 others got there first!!

Do they lay golden eggs or something?? That is nuts:eek: .Evan just posted some females for way less then this joker is trying to jack you for.I would tell him to keep his snakes and stop smoking crack and come back to the real world:rolleyes:

Those prices are unrealistic! I can get 1200+ gram healthy males/females for $100 or so at the local snake store.

Wow.

I'll sell you a proven female and a proven male for that.:D

NARBC note: We saw several lovely angolans - they are really starting to grow on me!

Get some from Ed Clark on here he still has some females left. I will get my 5 tomorrow and I think they look awesome. Send him a message I think he might have 2 or 3 left.

It depends on how nice looking they are. Really nice pastels are usually a lot more expensive.

In that case, I would say it all depends entirely on the quality of the pastel. If you don't care about its quality and just want the "pastel gene" then I guess you just look for the cheapest price you can find. But if it were me personally, I wouldn't buy any pastel without guidance from someone I trust who is very experienced in judging high quality pastels.

I was just going to say that I saw pastels for that at the reptile show last Saturday. :P
